I built a midi-scale Stinger Mantis for the 'Imperial March'-contest on BrickNerd.

One of my favourite ships in the galaxy!

It also has a play feature: the wings are movable - either together in flight configuration or separately for landing.

Very swooshable!!

I built a piano a few weeks back. I was inspired by the LEGO Dacta Typesetters tiles, which I used as keys. I wrote an article about for BrickNerd.

A fantasy adventure where Lord of the Rings sort of meets Game of Thrones. The Snow Guardian is just too cool to be left out.

And yes I am double dipping for Nerdvemeber and Brickscalibur, Frozen wilds category.

I'm really happy about this LEGO creation and I also managed to add a couple of NPUs. The dragon was inspired by the horse battle helmet and i manage to add in some lightsaber and a sausage. I am quite happy also about the tree made with rifle and gun.

Slightly bigger than my previous TIE. The cockpit and wings came together pretty quickly, but I had a lot of trouble with the spars. Prompted by the #bricknerd #imperialmarch25 , I finally found a solution that is simple and strong!

My entry for the Festival of Mundanity, hosted by BrickNerd and The Lego Car Blog.

I made the chevy suburban from halo or chevy tahoe or silvarado...... I don`t know what to call it it any more

A drawing of what I'm going after. I used the method Bricknerd used on his RSD-7 for the nose stripe, and I think it looks right. Now to stripe behind the cab...

For the BrickNerd "Nerdly Strikes Back" Build Contest. I figured I would build something which pays tribute to the tool of the blog. #NerdlyStrikesBack

My entry to the BrickNerd Pirate contest. A Scorpion Pirate Island Hideout!

The claws move aside and up to reveal a gate that opens into a secret cave with a dock to unload treasure. The treasure can be stored in the treasure room. The watch is kept at the top of the tail of the scorpion. The island is protected by a cannon and any enemies will be thrown in the dungeon.

Built for Ma.Ktober 2025

After seeing redbirch_bricks’ Ma.Ktober moc, I realized that my previous iteration did not have enough antennas and bulges. Hopefully I have now remedied this issue.

Partial inspirations:

Its my sd40 with extended porches and Swoofty's trucks. some of the stripes would need to be stickered.

I disagree with how the trucks stick out from the body of the locomotve. oh well.

note: i did not even try to find out if some of these parts exist in that blue.

and now it is Swoofty's turn to make one of these and show me how pathetic mine is.

Truly the face of someone going through 2020.

Tommy !! Please tell me... I try to follow your nerdly instructions but something strange hapenned... it create an explosion... maybe the use of Dark Grey Brick W. Arch 1X1X1 1/3 instead of Black... I hope nobody else will be hurt by your strange instructions :)

I rebuilt my GP-9 with two train motors instead of two M motors, and rebuilt the trucks after being inspired by Bricknerd's AAR design. Today was also a good opportunity to take better photos of it.

I've been considering putting lights in it, but I don't think I will so that it can be used as a switcher as well as a road unit.

One of my latest builds is a model of a Denver and Rio Grande Western 01400-series steel caboose. This may seem a bit outside my typical New England prototype area and that's because it is a gift for Bricknerd as part of the Railyard Telegraph Game, to go with his incredible "Queen of the Rio Grande" SD40. That particular build and others of his inspired me as I came into the hobby, so I wanted to build something to go with it. (Also to make sure he couldn't ever tear it apart! :-D )

The caboose is 7-wide, which was a challenge, and features a bunch of SNOT in the cupola, but otherwise is mostly hollow. This was on purpose in case it's ever desired to add an interior. I was also able to take advantage of multiple new parts, such as the 2x3 tiles (26603), 1x3 jumpers (34103), and the Technic pin with pin hole (15100). The trucks also feature roller bearings that actually roll! The stickers are from OKBrickWorks, who did an amazing job especially with matching the Bright Light Orange for the windows. The color scheme was certainly a fun obstacle, since I don't often build in either BLO or Light Bluish Grey and there's a limited number of parts that come in the former.

Now that it has cleared customs this build is at home in Germany!

A detailed recreation of the original Star Tours vehicle, complete with RX-24 pilot, Star Tours crew member, glow-in-the-dark headlights, maintenance hatches, simultaneously opening doors, and a slot for an iPod Touch to serve as the screen so that it can actually play the ride video!

Built for the vehicles category in Bricknerd's Imperial March contest.

Tommy over at BrickNerd is hosting his annual Nerdvember building contest. The contest theme is the ’80’s. The task is to incorporate Nerdly into something ’80’s-ish. No idea what that means? You can browse last year’s contest entries. The theme for that contest was...

Really late, but here's the "swag" photo from BrickCon. The printed minifig from The Brick Engraver was actually purchased on the plane on the way over (you'll never guess who I ran into at the airport...), but the rest of these were either given to me or left as part of an "invasion" at BrickCon this year.

Thanks to Simon Liu, The Brothers Brick, BrickLink, The Brick Engraver, and BrickNerd for some great goodies. I think the Coke can is my favorite (it's the right balance of close enough to be recognizable but different enough to not need to be licensed, and I'm a big Coke addict). I'm not sure who built/gave out the larger alien here (anyone know?), but the smaller one is one of Simon's. The Coke can is from CustomBRICKS (via Simon), and the BrickArms crate (and sonic screwdriver) are from The Brothers Brick, who actually gave me something for my tiny, phoned-in contribution to ChronoCon. I think the rest of these are self-explanatory.

I think I offered Katie the extra Nerdly at one point...

Entry for Nerdvember 2023: Survivor Edition

Nerdy was on a important voyage to retrieve some precious artifacts, but a huge storm was in the way and was not about to let Nerdy pass!

Little Nerdy was toss to and fro and was nearly shipwrecked.

But thanks to a big wave and this rock Nerdy has managed to Survive!

And done! Well. Mostly. I know that not a lot of the parts exist in the colors, but it still looks pretty good, I think

What I'm after I used Bricknerd's method for the striping behind the cab and on the nose.

For how pathetic I am at photography, I think this turned out decent. I need to order more parts so I can fix the awful stickering job from before. I also have added the upgraded plow on the front, so no more buffers! @Bricknerd :) The other thing is that I have a lack of lighting fixtures, so some if the sheen isn't right, that's why.
