You can find free instructions for this guy over at Bricknerd.com.

Wish you all good luck and fortunes!

We are celebrating the release of LEGO Toothless with this tiny cute guy! You can head over to BrickNerd and check the free instructions for it!

My first entry for the #NerdlyStrikesBack contest hosted by BrickNerd on www.bricknerd.com.

Roman watchtower pimped with nerd power.

We're starting an instructions series on BrickNerd and the first one is this little guy. If you want to build him, just check the site. You can also suggest in the comments what type of builds would you like to see more.

Silly walk... ☺️ please See my Instagram for comments and questions. @stensbylego I am not here much. :)

Was inspired by the people tagged, especially @luca_s_projects since the midsection of mine is essentially a very slight rework of his. I tried my best to make this in scale with my AT-RT, but it’s a bit larger than it simply due to how tiny my AT-RT is. This also fits in my Republic Gunship, which I’m really happy with.

A quick build for kicks, and in honor of "Nerdvember 2016"

The seccond of two trophies I built for the 2025 Middle Earth LEGO Olympics. This was also made for a recent article I wrote over at Bricknerd about set 10367 Balrog Book Nook, which you can read here: bricknerd.com/home/book-nooks-balrogs-and-beyond-6-14-2025. If you'd like a chance to win this model for yourself, you can check out and participate in the contest over in the Discord server: discord.gg/9GaQ462W.

Sharpen the axe, spin the flail, and take a couple practice shots with the slingshot! This is my 3rd entry to Bricknerd's Cube Your Enthusiasm contest. I had a lot of fun with this contest. Thanks organizers!

You've probably heard it, or not, but BrickNerd is doing a pirate-themed contest. A lot of amazing prizes and you can even win the legendary Rolli mouse! Full contest rules can be found in the dedicated flickr group here.

This is not a contest entry, just a motivational build to get your creative juices flowing :)

So my guys had a ship, but they wrecked it. This is what you get when you leave the steering to a mosquito.

For the RogueOlympics on www.RogueBricks.de I built a camera with only 101 parts, which you can find on my stream.

I liked this first 101 parts MOC so much, that I decided to build it again - but then without part limit.

The camera itself is only build with LEGO parts and, the Nintendo set tiles fitting perfectly for the screen on the backside. Also the objektive is brick build in this one.

... "Castle!" ... This was a quality set and fun scale to work with, and a just blast in general.

Check out the venture in the article on @bricknerdofficial

bricknerd.com/home/playing-with-scale-upgrading-the-up-sc...

What will or would you make? 🤔

One of my older MOCs, but for me still one of my best ones. Maybe I'll have to give it an update to have my "new" Countach inside.

We are celebrating the amazing Jonas Kramm today with article on BrickNerd with an interview and set review of his upcoming Mushroom House set on BrickLink Designer Program.

The set will be available for pre-order on June 6th and you can support Jonas by getting one. I was lucky enough to get a copy of the set and I can tell you - it's all kinds of fun. I couldn't help myself, so I made the small mushroom in the set to a fierce warrior :D

New Quick Build for you - Ballerina Music Box...without the music :D

We had a great time writing BrickNerd’s latest article and even better time recounting the story of how we got such an amazing opportunity! We hope our tale of Brickworld Chicago 2025 and the time making an alt-build of LEGO set 31217 The Fauna Collection - Tiger as a team, will inspire you take some chances, build with unorthodox pieces, test yourself with a time crunch, and do it all to succeed as a collaborative effort!

Guarding the golden corn for the ImperiOwl Navy is no easy job, especially when everyowl guarding Fort Nocturn is a nocturnal owl. Pulling the day shift is a real pain in the eyes, keeping the foulest of the fowl away from the golden treasure stolen from the natives of the West Birdies. But for Commander Snow, no job is too difficult.

Built for the BrickNerd Pi-RATs and BUG-aneers contest, of course. And the natural enemies of Captain Cockerell and the Bad Egg, too.

So this is my first contribution to Bricknerd. The article is found here bricknerd.com/home/castle-gate-of-brikneerd-how-to-make-a... so feel free to check it out for some behind-the-scenes info and WIP-shots.

Very excited to be a part of the crew and I'm postitive we can come up with some interesting stuff going forward.

Thanks to Full Plate for inspiration for the bushes, and to Mark E. for inspiration for castle-building in general :)

Lego was kind enough to send me a review copy of the new 10316 Rivendell set to review for Bricknerd. I made some modifications to the set and created a version based on the LEGO Elves theme. You can read more about that process on Bricknerd: bricknerd.com/home/an-ode-to-elves-remaking-rivendell-in-...

Yo ho, yo ho!

Pi-rat built for competition run by Bricknerd.

As of August 2024, I have been in the online Lego community for 20 years, having posted my first creations on Brickshelf and MOCpages in 2004. To commemorate this milestone, I built a vignette to show the evolution of my building preferences since the beginning. In the 2000s, I was known for building bley spaceships, surrealism, and a theme I created called black fantasy, which depicts entirely black biomechanical monsters with translucent orange eyes. These elements are reflected in the vignette starting from the black base with segments of a biomechanical spine. The number 2 is part of a broken bley spaceship along with other fragmented components scattered around. The creature encasing the tree forms the number 0 and is the husk of the cyclopean virtue, a black fantasy creature that was featured in a diorama from 2007 and seen on my avatar unchanged since then. The melting white blocks represent elements of my surrealist creations, in particular referencing the blocks from my Metamorphosis of the Mind sculptures. With time, these components have faded into obscurity among the overgrowth. The hull rusted, the blocks melting, and the cyclopean virtue inactivated. From these remnants a tree with colorful leaves has grown, representing my new preference to build diverse and colorful creations.

I also wrote an accompanying article on BrickNerd reflecting on the past two decaded of building and sharing MOCs.

Check out the video and album!

For Rogue Olympics' second round, the theme is "Oops!", I'm doing a little Star Wars build dedicated to one of the most annoying web pages - the 404.

Can you spot all the numbers?

Also, this March BrickNerd is hosting the Imperial March contest with cool prizes, so if you are into Star Wars, ships, Jedi and some cute aliens, you can also join this one here.

Have you heard of Captain Ducky and the Rubber Duccaneers?!

They may seem to have a bubbly disposition,

but I tell ya; they're sudding up the seven seas!

And aye, you may think they be cute; and that I'm all lathered up 'bout nothing, but hear me out.

You seen the foam that rolls upon shore? That their be doin! Their cannons fire freaking fizzy bath bombs!! Everything they do, turns the oceans into tub water.

You'll see'm sailing in a white alabaster flock of schooners.

They duck every shot fired, and ya can't sink em... cause they already be waterlogged!

A buncha tubs full of tubby wise quackers, whose squeaks and wheezes never cease.

Their victory is assured, and conditioner simple. 'Wash, rinse, and repeat.' They never throw in the towel, and fight ya till your skin's all pruney and wrinkled.

In the end, their battle cry will be the last thing ya hear before they lay ye down to rest.

"To Bed, Bath, and Beyond!"

Just one more to go after this one...and if you haven't checked it out already, I wrote an article on BrickNerd about FebRovery so feel free to have a look if rovers are your thing ;)

When I learned about the Bricknerd Pirates competition, I was immediately excited to build a pirate-ship. And after discovering that these hats fit the Simpson cats quite well, I just knew I wanted to go cartoony for the full vibe. It was a bit rushed in the end, but I'm still happy with this little build :)

I hope you like this as well!

~Jaap Bijl

For 23 years Ibn Battuta had traveled across the Islamic world and beyond. He went from his home city of Tangiers in Morocco to as far east as Quanzhou in China, as far south as Kilwa in East Africa, and as far north as Sarai in Russia. He would meet many heads of state like Abu Sa'id, Khan of the Mongol Ilkhanate, Muhammad Tughluq, the Sultan of the Delhi Sultanate, and Oz Beg, Khan of the Mongol Golden Horde. He would have many highs and lows during this journey becoming wealthy, but also losing it from time to time and almost dying.

It was in 1346 when he decided to return to Morocco. He would make his way from Quanzhou in China, to Calicut in India, and to Basra in the Persian Gulf. It was there he would learn about the greatest disaster to shake the medieval world, the black death. His friend, Khan Abu Sa'id had died from the disease and the Ilkhanate was plunged into civil war. He would arrive in Damascus in 1348 where he decided to retrace his route to the hajj before he returned home. He would learn from a friend that his father had died in Morocco 15 years earlier. Death was everywhere as the plague spread throughout the Middle East. He would leave for Egypt and on the way there he saw that the city of Gaza was depopulated.

In Egypt he would see that the plague was taking its toll on Cairo. He would continue south on one of the many caravan and pilgrimage routes to the red sea ports across from Mecca. These routes during this time were likely more dangerous given the chaos in the wider world. Banditry was likely at an all time high as people were desperate and the Mamluks in Egypt devoted more time to maintaining order in the larger cities. Its possible that Ibn Battuta and his caravan of servants and concubines travelled with groups. He would finally arrive in Mecca where he decided it was time to go home.

Ever since I got that adventurers canister at BFVA this year, I knew I had to use it in a moc. I decided on using it for a buried statue, possibly one of the many statues of Ramesses II or another Pharaoh seen across Egypt. Did Ibn Battuta himself see one? Maybe, they're everywhere.

The MH-6 Little Bird is a quick and fast helicopters that goes Brrrrrr.

It's the favorite used by the Oceanic urban assault teams, allowing them to quickly ingress and egress.

Built for the World in Darkness group

What's WiD? - well I actually wrote a whole article about it today on BrickNerd: bricknerd.com/home/visors-in-darkness-how-i-found-out-i-a...

It was definitely a fun challenge building this iconic helicopter in sand blue, thanks to Toby in particular for some great suggestions and advice during the process.

And shoutout to Tanner for the awesome V3 visor casts.

The Forward Ranger Operating Group is the elite FROG squad that drops in for the most fierce front line battles.

--

It's been a weird retrospective week - As most people know I'm kinda known for not just frogs, but animal mechs in general.

And sometimes it's like It feels like I'm making these stories up... but I'm not...

But on Wednesday - Blair pointed pointed out these cool Frog based Gundam suits... and the SAME day, Same day I wrote the Visor + LEGO Dad article, I get an awesome package from random gift package from Adam, which contained: Frogs and Brickforge Visors.

... I'm not joking. So I started working on this pair, trying to find something that resembled the gundam.

I started doing stickering last night - and 1ssac posted HIS pink frog build and tagged me on IG ... and this morning Someone ELSE pointed out the gundam sets....

... Yeah this is meant to be. :)

I've always loved Grievous' character and this is my version of him :)

The crew aboard The Cheshire has finally found the fabled Lucky Cat Island! But Captain White Fur seems to be a bit too busy eating his lunch to notice he's about to pass the island entirely, while lookout Kuro Neko is more concerned with looking for birds than to look ahead. Meanwhile Cutlass Saru is just trying to pick a fight as always. No wonder this crew is missing some limbs... Good thing cats have nine lives!

My entry for the Nerdly strikes back contest

#NerdlyStrikesBack

For The Bricknerd Pirats and Buganeers contest - CREW

This Motley crew of Ne'er do wells were assembled by Captain Elrissa Leon - A lioness.

(3rd from the right) They sail the seas off the Chima Peninsula. Having forsaken their various tribes, they now prey on anyone foolish enough to come close to their frigate.

Left to Right

Rex - ships dogsbody! A fearsome fighter with a bite first ask questions later attitude. A more scurvy sea dog you'll not find.

"Powder" Ships Gunner and master of cannons don't mention brass monkeys to him...

Osmando Stretch -First Mate - opulently wealthy - a coward - who knew burying your head in the sand could be so useful for a pirate....

Crabby Jack - Has a complex about being a little shrimp but a cunning spy - he talks with the other sea creatures and shares info with the captain using claw Morse code clicks. always alert and has so far avoided Reza's cooking pot!

Captain Elrissa Leon - Cast out for her view on how she could run the tribe far better, ruthless and cunning - she has united all the creatures of Chima who don't fit in and they scour the seas searching for booty and do as they please!

Albert Greenscail - Ships Navi-gator - knows the oceans and inland waterways and bays like the back of his hand. A keen cartographer and marine biologist. a gentle soul despite his fearsome visage

Reza Scally - Ships cook and born survivalist - unpopular even among the Ratfolk of the Undercaves, he can make a meal out of literally anything... Whether you would want to eat it or not is another thing... Known to abandon ship prematurely on more than one occasion.

I still remember clearly on this one, the idea came from December 6th 2014 when my friend Daniel made a bird from blue Mixel’s parts, but due to his limited parts he used leafs for the tails, and my other friend Erwin said that it looks and can be modified as a peacock. So thanks to both of you for the idea and inspiration on this one :)

A quick little model built for the “pi-RATS & BUG-aneers” contest on Bricknerd. I was looking through Bricklink at old Pirates sets for inspiration and came across 1713 Shipwrecked Pirate, which my mind immediately translated to Shipwrecked Parrot. So I built a version of that, and threw in a reimagined 6259 Broadside’s Brigfor good measure!

Couple more images on Brickbuilt.
