For me, this is really a local brew. Wild Goose IPA is brewed at the Wild Goose Brewery in Frederick, Md.
It is a small brewery that produces several lines, under the Wild Goose and Flying Dog lines.
This is their India Pale Ale. It is considered a dinner beverage in these parts. The locals enjoy it with crabs, but being a Midwesterner, my preferences are savory sausages and smokey cheeses.
At 6.0 alcohol by volume, it is a hefty brew. It also has a robust taste that will clear your palate for the next gnosh.

We toasted to the art of beer with art-inspired brews from Wabasha Brewing Company, Fair State Brewing Cooperative, Bad Weather Brewing Company, & Fulton Beer. We also partook in German cultural traditions with Germanfest MN, enjoyed music from The World’s Most Dangerous Polka Band, and made beer-inspired arts & crafts!
Once the boil is complete, the kettle is removed from the stove, and the chiller is hooked up. One line is connected to the faucet; the other line goes down the drain.
Cold water from the tap flows through the coil; the cool water absorbs the heat from the hot copper tubing and carries the heat down the drain. Depending on the season, I can cool the wort from boiling to about 90F in 15 minutes. This process is much more efficient than ice baths.

We tried some barley during the brewery tour. The IPA label is askew because it had been freshly bottled and the label hadn't set yet.
