baked. I'd never baked bread with this method - in a tightly-sealed pot - but trapping the steam that way makes for a really nice crust. You can see there wasn't much oven spring - things tend to overrise and then fall out here, so I cranked the heat wayyyy up to set the bread before it got too big. Or maybe it was the denser whole-wheat dough, or maybe it was too hot, or maybe the long, long fermentation exhausted the yeast, or maybe....
Delicious single-serving of bread pudding, made with butter bread, topped with a caramel sugar garnish, enhanced by fruity caterpillar.
Three bananas left in the refrigerator from a bunch got rather rip, swell now what. So after starring at them thinking of me still on this walker trying to bake, hmmmm these banans are good for the bread too. So dragged the cook book down, the bowl then laid stuff out on the counter and started with the sugar and butter. I get the liquid, eggs, bananas, then some spices. Crap I don't have baking soda so I drag myself with walker in the truck for baking soda thinking of whats going to happen to the stuff in the bowl, oh well. I get it all mixed up, cooked and it came out great. It has been so long from the last time I made this I can't remember.
