Pumpkin bread with chocolate chips. I did not include the recipe since I think the bread was a bit too oily. The recipe called for one and a half cups of oil... Next time I will try something different....

Warm bread served with three butters:
1. Herb butter
2. Guava butter
3. Smoked Salmon (From Durham's Tracklement next door)
Notes: The smoked salmon was good, but a tad on the "fishy" side. The herbs weren't that discernable. The guava was like honey-butter... yum - by far my favorite.
This is the first time I've ever attempted to make bread on my own. (Well, besides banana bread, which is not really the same thing, process-wise.) This bread was sooo good, I will be making more!
I used my homemade white bread for these garlic bread chips and they turned out really good. This bread would of been good for making croutons too.

24 hours per day fresh loaf bread, from a bread vending machine outside a bakery in Delden, the Netherlands.
I was very suprised to see this machine. Bread vending machines don't even exist in Japan, where they sell almost everything in vending machines.
This bread vending machine is one in a long tradition of snack vending machines, like in an automat (Dutch: automatiek). In Holland it's very common to have dinner out of a vending machine in an automat. This is called: eating out of the wall (Dutch: 'eten uit de muur'). Bon Appetit!

Also, it seems that in the old days unexpected guests could be served a loaf of bread and a can of beans.
I made these for Erik Anderson's rabbit and pineapple-sage sausages. They look and taste incredibly good, but they're a little dense. Might try them again soon with some adjustments.
The Kazakh word for bread is "nan." But "nan" usually referred to this particular round style of bread that I call "uzbek round bread" simply because I first encountered it in Uzbekistan when I was there in 2003. After spending so long in Kazakhstan, I no longer think of it as particularly Uzbek.
150g starter
190g water
400g white bread flour
1ts salt
1. dough cycle
2. knead
3. overnight in floured linen covered basket
4. onto floured tray - lines in top
5. 220C fan oven for 26 minutes
Result - very good rise and flavour crust perfect thickness and texture.
Each of the buns were a different kind such as jalapeno cheddar, brioche, whole wheat, cranberry, etc.
