"Balm brings you sympathy and marjoram joy, sage is long life...sweet woodruff augurs well for health - A blessing richer far than wealth, while lavender means deep devotion, herb of sweet omen. Rosemary conveys affection and remembrance all your days. May heaven and earth combine to keep these blessings, ever thine."

18 November 2018, Bogotá, Colombia: A group of children offer blessings to their parents from the altar of the church of San Lucas. The church of San Lucas ('Saint Lucas') of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Colombia, brings together a congregation of some 100 people in the southern areas of Bogotá. Located in the Kennedy area, the church has recently celebrated 50 years. As part of its ministry, the church runs a school and college, The Colegio Evangelico Luterano de Colombia (CELCO) San Lucas, offering education to just over 1,000 students aged 3-18. The school started as a social initiative offering care for children aged 0-4 in Bogotá's less wealthy neighbourhood, allowing the parents opportunities to go to work. 36 years after its foundation, the school employs 56 staff, of which 36 are teachers.

A new thought
is remembering its
soul. For so long
a lonely vigilance
has guarded the
soil of faith.
Listen and see;
become the willing
servant of love.
Anything can heal
your fear
if you bless it.

Retread Thursday brings sad and grateful feelings today.
I got this one owner 70K mile Bonneville SSE in 2005 for $1800.00 . Just liked the style and ride of it. Kept it in the garage most of the time. On a Sunday night in June 2006 I was going to ride the bike to work but at the last minute I decided to take the car. A drunk driver in a stolen van ran a red light and I could not avoid the impact. Just fractions of a second and I shutter to think of what a direct hit would have meant. More than that I am blessed that I didn't ride the bike that evening. How many times have I been blessed and didn't even know it. Thank God for those blessings and those to follow!
