"The moment you start acting like life is a blessing,
it starts feeling like one."
Sunshine filtering through the leaves of the trees in our local woods.
To many times I am afraid,
I look at other's possessions feeling envy in my heart
judge people without really knowing their full story,
allow my heart to be hardened by anger...
When I look in this mirror and reflect on my blessings
those who truly love me
the shelter I am provided
the times my heart softens with compassion
it is then I know I am truly blessed...

This was the view of sunset outside my west facing window last night. Years ago, there was a woods across the street from my home, then developers took down the majority of trees and built homes. I was really upset when that happened. But afterwards, I realized I could see sunsets from my front window. So overall, the view of trees lost was replaced by seeing glorious sunsets.
Every morning you wake up is a blessing. Best part is the opportunity not to let yesterday's mistakes and problems hold you down as you start a new day.
This shot marked the beginning of Spring for me - my second most favorite season. Getting this right hand-held with Sony's big zoom was pretty challenging - I was still waking up and standing on a steep slope. It took around 10 shots before I could get decent focus and composition even with the good IS and optics. For me, long shots like this have several challenges, some of which never really diminish with practice - save for some persistence and luck.
Testing Aldis Anastigmat 8.5cm f2.5 slide projection lens - less contrast, flares a lot and creates bubble type bokeh.
Today marks 6 months since Bit and her crazy expressions joined our lives. What a blessing she is. Happy “half” Gotcha Day, baby girl! We love you.
In the midst of so many mossy stones and water, a small bridge becomes a blessing.

Receiving flowers as a gift is a double blessing. The beauty fills one's house for days and offer up vast opportunities for photo sessions. While admiring my orange Daylily flowers, I noticed bright pollen had fallen to the surface of a leaf. "Love is beauty and beauty is truth, and that is why in the beauty of a flower we can see the truth of the universe."

Sunlight fell and reminded me that life can be so gracious sometimes
And I felt like everything around me was connected somehow
At night I hear the rhythm of the ocean as it breaks on the shore
And I think about all the things that I am grateful for
And they say, hold on to the ones you love
Keep 'em close to you
And they say, hold on to this time we have
And let the light shine through
Sometimes I get a little bit emotional when I see love unfold
Two hearts bound by reflections of the memories they'll forever hold
And they say, hold on to the ones you love
Keep 'em close to you
And they say, hold on to this time we have
And let the light shine through
There are blessings all around you
Open up your eyes
Feel the sunlight fall upon you
Let it free your mind
There are blessings all around you
Take a step outside
Let your heart shine in a new light
See it come alive
And they say, hold on to the ones you love
Keep 'em close to you
And they say, hold on to this time we have
And let the light shine through

Taken From the bottom of Gupteswor Cave
Devi's Fall is the deepest cave in the asia. The height of Devi's Fall is 48 metres and it is 1479 metresa long. Many explorations were made for the Devi's Falls. The first exploration was made in 1970, the second exploration in 1980 and the third in 1982 by D.Gebauer,The Atlas of the Great Caves of the World group. The experts like D.Gebauer said that Devi's Falls had created the cave beside it called Gupteswor Cave some 500-600 years ago.
A simple run off stream that flows from the Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park in Maine, USA. I did very little homework before starting this adventure in New England but I knew that I wanted to hit a few spots in this National Park. We followed the path around that lake for a short while but beyond the “Pond” itself this was one of my favorite scenes. There is something about the water and how it moves so freely among nature and its surroundings.
I’ve had a crazy past 24 hours in our family. My youngest daughter was in a car accident. She is fine but her car is totalled. Later than evening we took her to the hospital to find that she has a rather large kidney stone. We are home now and she is resting. While things have been upside down, I still am thankful to God for the blessings in my life.
