The Son of Man (French: Le fils de l'homme) is a 1964 painting by the Belgian surrealist painter René Magritte.
Magritte painted it as a self-portrait. The painting consists of a man in an overcoat and a bowler hat standing in front of a low wall, beyond which is the sea and a cloudy sky. The man's face is largely obscured by a hovering green apple. However, the man's eyes can be seen peeking over the edge of the apple. Another subtle feature is that the man's left arm appears to bend backwards at the elbow.

A new girl Misaki from the latest game DOAX Venus Vacation.
I just realised she was never posted here.
Posed and rendered in Blender with my custom materials.
Just had a little play with the Mecabricks render options.
Model is by Superdooperhero on Mecabricks.

This render is a copy of one of Anders Löfgren's photos. I really suggest you to follow his work, I love his architectures and his games of shadows and lights.

In 1980, it was decided to give the Nesher ( נשר/Vulture) some modernisations as part of a life-extension program. They were returned to SAI, where they were refurbished and rebuilt in some areas, and were delivered carrying the new designation Nesher B.
The most notable difference is the addition of canards. These improve the manoeuvrability, resulting in impressive turning capabilities for this relatively large aircraft. It has retained its tendency to bite back if the pilot is not paying enough attention, and still requires an experienced pilot. The forward visibility was improved slightly, to allow better visibility over the nose during the landing. A large airbrake was added underneath the tail, and the brake chute was replaced with one that actually works, thus eliminating the landing difficulties. The intakes and the rest of the forward fuselage was also reworked to include the new electronical systems, giving it a much sleeker look, comparable to the UAR’s Aviatik VK, according to some.
Credit for the windshield still goes to Kenneth Vaessen.
Sidenote: I felt like it needed an upgrade, the intakes didn’t flow well, and neither did the cockpit. I got that ironed out, and I think it looks much better now. Also continuing the experiments with Mecabricks and Blender.

An 'mild' painterly version of the first image. Prefer these to the ones which try to be more 'realistic'.
Here is my final(?) render of 590 using Blender with all the stickers and parts. It is a combination of Mecabricks, LDraw, and custom sticker images.
i took apart used cooking/cleaning appliances, and arranged their interior parts very systematically on a white sheet of bristol board. my intention was to explore the hidden "brains" of these appliances; allowing us to view these everyday objects from a new perspective.
Taken from a vaporetto (water bus) as it travelled down the Grand Canal in Venice. I used a home built BlenderCam which evolved from my pinhole blender cameras. An image is formed on 35mm film which is held in a curved path, such that the effective focal length of the lens gets longer, and the effective aperture gets smaller the further away it is from the centre. By advancing the film to include an overlap, sequential images become blended together. I made the body of BlenderCam at an introductory laser cutting workshop at Access Space, Sheffield. The lens and shutter assembly is scavenged from an old Bierette camera.
I loaded the film with the base layer facing the lens, so the image is formed by light passing through the orange film, giving the so called redscale effect.
The world globe elements were long overdue but they are finally in the Mecabricks part library. This was really a pain to get them right. Unwrapping and drawing the textures for this shape was a mission but I think that the result is good enough.
I'm currently working on my short film! Coming soon!
Stay tuned!

AndrewPrice *BlenderGuru* for the awesome dohnut tutorial.
Still running on gas powering the renders so picking through basics till I can upgrade the hamsters!.
...but that said, it's great fun trying to learn the basics. Love this free software.
I am currently playing with the denoiser from the Blender daily build. It makes a big difference. I made this one under an hour on my iMac and a core i5.
You can also check this video. It is lower resolution but took only 9 hours for 264 frames. youtu.be/bHsTq2B03KI

This would not have been possible without Stas who built the model and made all the crazy decorations. Big thanks to him.
Although I'd rendered this model in POV-Ray, I wanted to see how it compared with Mecabricks/Blender.
After trying the 13 steps on How to Blend In...
Gumby and Pokey figured out a 14th step if all else fails.
Made with Blender and Octane.
