Taken from a vaporetto (water bus) as it travelled down the Grand Canal in Venice. I used a home built BlenderCam which evolved from my pinhole blender cameras. An image is formed on 35mm film which is held in a curved path, such that the effective focal length of the lens gets longer, and the effective aperture gets smaller the further away it is from the centre. By advancing the film to include an overlap, sequential images become blended together. I made the body of BlenderCam at an introductory laser cutting workshop at Access Space, Sheffield. The lens and shutter assembly is scavenged from an old Bierette camera.
I loaded the film with the base layer facing the lens, so the image is formed by light passing through the orange film, giving the so called redscale effect.
i took apart used cooking/cleaning appliances, and arranged their interior parts very systematically on a white sheet of bristol board. my intention was to explore the hidden "brains" of these appliances; allowing us to view these everyday objects from a new perspective.
I'm currently working on my short film! Coming soon!
Stay tuned!

AndrewPrice *BlenderGuru* for the awesome dohnut tutorial.
Still running on gas powering the renders so picking through basics till I can upgrade the hamsters!.
...but that said, it's great fun trying to learn the basics. Love this free software.
Made with Blender and Octane.
This is a variation of this one, using a different Vectron fractal : www.flickr.com/photos/atreyu64/50926604097

Having completed a decent tutorial on fur/hair now able to have a go at my own attempts. I think this shows some promise?

Mecabricks' latest Advanced Blender script is out for 2.80 so I thought I'd give it a go. Grabbed this massive model by bils21 to give it a go. I liked the crash scene, so I zoomed in a bit to show details.
Although I'd rendered this model in POV-Ray, I wanted to see how it compared with Mecabricks/Blender.
'Ello! Here's an attempt at using volumetrics to create coffee in a glass cup. How do you think it turned out?
Modelled with: Blender
Rendered with: Blender (Cycles)

Here is my final(?) render of 590 using Blender with all the stickers and parts. It is a combination of Mecabricks, LDraw, and custom sticker images.
You've probably never heard of this dance move, but it exists! Well, at least it does now. This is the part where you're twirling to the bottom of the blender in the vortex.
This is a render from blender.
- my computer is a toaster - lol
I spent about 4 months perfecting this mesh in blender and when i uploaded it wasnt even close to looking THIS good. I mean good but not THIS good.
I suppose its the lighting differentials.
my render isnt even finished - so slow
/runs off to look at computer prices
unfinished set here : marketplace.secondlife.com/p/EKC-Kiss-My-Neon-Kitchen-Set...
Experimenting with Blender 'bones/armature' functions to make for bendier Friends characters. This is version one - pretty good apart from the trouser/boot edge line and the weird hand distortions.
A bit of a blast form the past, but my last version using Blender was missing quite a few pieces. The Mecabricks model is more complete after adding the numbered bricks and some other parts. But this render also swaps in a few other missing parts from LDraw (gates, baseplate, cellar windows, and arials, and the doors). Although I have "faked" parts for most of those, I wanted a more complete version.
The tree is the only part that is wrong. It should be the LEGO fruit tree, which I can't find a model of. I should have used the round tree or the taller fern.
Here is the rear facing view of 590 with the office open. Rendered using Blender with all the stickers and parts. It is a combination of Mecabricks, LDraw, and custom sticker images.
