I love these gorgeous little lace doilies you find in charity shops, they are simply works of art! By adding a little bead trim they make great jug covers.

Sleeve on a dress I made for my mom in 2001. (Yes, it looks upside-down, but that's sort of a matter of which end of a sleeve you think of as "up;" -- at the bottom of the picture is the cuff.) These are very, very loosely based on some 12th century sleeves which you can learn about here.

I didn't know almost-four year olds could handle stringing tiny beads, but this is Em's new favorite past time. She says she's making bracelets for everyone this year. I love this kid!

I decided to get into some beading with my polymer clay. I can't "clay" when I'm visiting Mom, but I can bead!

Here it's finished, but only has minimal beading around the edges.

The finished product! After months of beading (very intermittently, I was working on it when I was sick in early pregnancy), and after getting suckered into way too much product at the frame store, this is the final result!
