Flackette saw my bags on the floor and came up with an idea of pure genius.
it is a ShootSac - with a Fling cover! I hate my other camera bags and will tell you right now that I am in love with this bag!
it is really for toting your lenses and stuff - flash, batteries,CF holder etc while you are shooting so you have everything right at your fingertips! LOVE it,LOVE it!!
This is for a friend who wanted a brown bag but with a design in the cream color to match the cream tam-hat I'd made for her earlier. I wanted to do something different so I did a double diamond overlay using white and off-white yarns. With this technique, I had 6 separate yarns working this design (hard to keep it all untangled!). Bag is made using Red Heat "Coffee" yarn and a size "H" hook.
The central panel is coloured using a freezer paper mask that I drew and cut out, then squeegied over colour with a credit card. I added strips of hand dyed fabric in a log cabin fashion. I added heavy stitching in perle threads to the flower and scattered leaves around the rest of the fabric. The handle was constructed from the trimmings, then free machine embroidered with Louisa's name over and over.
Another Amy Butler bag - made from her pattern Frenchy Bag, in her prints of course!

Inspired by the vintage 40s to 70s scandinavian porcelain where strong but muted colors and simple shapes look great together. My mother used to have some cheerful cups decorated with fruit and berries and some other very dark brown with simple shapes hand painted with soft brush. They all reminded me from the big garden she used to have, filled with nature's treasures. This bag is about shadows and sunny spots in the garden, the feel of a warm summer day, the real countryside experience where life shows its best.
Half.Jak tagged me and I was chuffed because I'm like, never tagged, and then... I never did it. Durhur. SO HERE IT IS. My bag has just changed actually, it was a little yellow one, but I got sick of my being able to carry everything around.
I TAG ANYONE WHO WANTS TO DO IT. NEVER FEEL LEFT OUT! FEEL THE WINDS OF CHANGE.

The Mr's new bag. I am pretty happy with the end result even though the bottom is a bit wonky. A couple more pics in my photostream.
