Pan Am Railways WAPO rolls through Deering Junction, approaching Read Street in Portland, Maine with B40-8 5943 leading a mixed bag of power.
hung out with with my friend david today - we both took some photos of kristi.
this photo probably makes no sense, haha.. well i know what its supposed to mean but you all should make up your own stories - i dont like writing about what i intend to say just because i dont think my story is any better than yours. ;)
love the portrait on my facebook more. ;)
p.s. this paper bag is actually my bag of painting supplies... i thought of this idea when i saw it in my room. i walked out with the bag and told kristi and david my idea, and then kristi mentioned i should remove the container of wax paper so it didnt look like a booze bottle. ROFL.

Happy Macro Monday & thank you everyone for your visits, faves, and kind comments. They are always appreciated :)
We bought these from one of the street vendors in Funchal, Madeira. They were delicious and I was very impressed by the double sided paper bag to put the discarded outer shell in !
Daisy enjoyed a quick game in this paper carrier bag today.
Happy Caturday!
Extra photo in the comments shows another attempt that failed ;-))
Stella snuck into the tree room and started celebrating before the rest of us. 😂 she figured out which bag held her treats but only took out her new chew toy. She sat guilty next to her ill gotten gains happily wagging her tail! 🎄😄
Got the pattern from Finny Knits.
Was going to make a third pocket at the bottom and put a seam through the middle of it to divide it into two compartments (ie, to hold my portable GPS on one side and whatever else on other), but then I realized that a third pocket would cover kitty, and since I had already mistakenly cut the head off of kitty on the main pocket, I couldn't have that.
I also realized that I should have just cut one long binding for the main pocket instead of two (binding fabric got super thick and became difficult to sew, but I managed it), but whatever.
I didn't have a buckle and didn't want to go buy one, so it just slips over the headrest. I also plan to swing it around to the front of the passenger seat backrest for easy access when I don't have anyone sitting there. Plan to keep all my papers/junk mail that I take to work to shred in it since I usually just keep them in a paper bag, and, well, that's just not pretty.
The binding is from a vintage fabric lot I bought on eBay, but the main fabric is leftover from a curtain I made, and it just so happened to be almost the perfect size, so I was delighted to see it go to good use since it's just that awesome. After taking pictures, I realize I need to trim my thread stragglers.
I might just need to make another one for the back of the driver's seat. And one for my hub's truck. And now my friend, Ali, wants one. eek. I've created a monster.

Just finished sewing this last night ...by hand mind as my mum still hasn't fixed the tension on my machine and given it back to me, and I'm way too much of a bloke to know how to do it myself...anyhoo, it used to be my son's jeans lol enjoy!!
Here is my entry for Round 6 of MELO over on MOCpages. This creation depicts the scene from the Battle of Five Armies where Bilbo, after his long adventure, returns to Bag-End as his house and belongings are being auctioned off! Hope you enjoy!
Weekender bag. I just got woven straps for it instead of making them, I think they will stay flatter longer.
A shot of coffee, a sugar pill and 10 mL of cream... the perfect combination.
This picture is for the group Macro Monday's and this week the theme is "Brew".
I have always been a big coffee drinker. Since I've spent a lot of time at the hospital I used to jokingly ask my doctor if he would hang a bag of coffee in place of the saline. Unfortunately "No" was my answer. :) I think he would get a kick out of this picture!

Oh...., and I cut a square out of the back of office folder, made 8 little holes and sewed at the bottom (inside) of my bag, it gives my bag nice and firm look
I made my French holiday villa feel like home with my 'travel pile of crap' . I go nowhere without it.
Believe it or not everything you see is carefully arranged and I know exactly where every single item is, or at least this is what I must say to anyone who complains. I do feel a tad sad to ruin the look of what appears when I arrive to be a Homes and Gardens set but I am not willing to spend half of every day folding and arranging and opening and closing cupboards. There is something so liberating about hurling everything around, leaving things strewn, dishevelled, haphazard - See how much nicer those words sound than - neat, tidy, spick & span.
Back on shed at 17.00 with Stanier 8F 2-8-0 48305 & it was getting dark. I had prepped the loco and run two trips in the morning when the relief fireman asked if I could take his afternoon turn too. Being young and foolish I agreed!
I fired the first trip but let Andrew the trainee take the last one (I wasn't knackered, honest!) He did very well & here he is coming down from the cab after offering to dispose. After almost 12 hours in action I was happy to leave him and Pete to it... That's my bag, shovel & mash can on the ground ready for a quick getaway.
