Festival bag made mostly with my daughters' childhood Oshkosh clothing. Includes a built-in festival line-up cheat sheet and a little nod to Outkast.
In the mountains, even in June, it gets cold pretty fast once the sun goes down around 8pm. If you want to extend your time outdoors, snuggling in a zero degree duck down sleeping bag is a good solution.
I enjoy both dawn and dusk in terms of observing wildlife and also just witnessing the majestic light transformation from night to day or vice versa.
The plan for the new van is to build an observation/sleeping deck on the roof, accessible by a boat hatch directly above the bed. The view from there should be impressive, especially in the desert.

Instead of using paper gift bags I like to make fabric bags and my children's little friends seem to like them a lot more.
I made a gift tag using layers of fabric and paper.
A super quick and fun gift bag created using a plain paper bag, simple stamping (the Hero Arts spiders and sentiment) , some yummy ribbon, and a quick tag!

I was making the a softie using the Alice in Wonderland fabric & laid the red Japanese fabric against it & thought it would make a wonderful bag, & knew this design would be perfect.
I was disappointed as I thought the main panel was a pocket, but I quickly got over that. Also the pattern suggested to interface the lining only, but I ended up stabilizing the exterior body as well
Old wooden curtain rings, tiny bit of left over poppy fabric, remains of an earlier leather project, a strap from a deceased backpack and some sewing and hey presto a perfect bag for carrying a kitten around...or a phone and wallet of course....LOL

The central panel is coloured using a freezer paper mask that I drew and cut out, then squeegied over colour with a credit card. I added strips of hand dyed fabric in a log cabin fashion. I added heavy stitching in perle threads to the flower and scattered leaves around the rest of the fabric. The handle was constructed from the trimmings, then free machine embroidered with Louisa's name over and over.
