I was pretty worried about her last night because we had Santa Ana winds
with gusts to 47 MPH. Dumbell that she is, she built her nest in an 8'
POTTED PLANT! of all things and that thing blew over 3 times this year
before she built the nest. This morning when I got up all was cool and she was
snoring away like there was never any danger. :o)
Backyard is very spacious and our kids love having the space to roam and play. There is even a club/tree house in the back corner of the lot.

We've got a Lemon scented Gum, and a Jacaranda growing in our, very
small, backyard. There's really no room for any more trees, but
seedlings pop up everywhere - there's a Chinese Elm growing out of a
dingle in the Jacaranda's trunk, an Avocado tree growing right next to
the Jacaranda, and an identified tree, maybe an Illawarra Flame Tree
coming up in the walkway between the house and the fence.
The white trunk is the Gum, and the green is the Jacaranda.
Staying inside lets me get nice photos of the birds. Most don't mind if I am in the house, soon as I step out the all take off.

The resources for such alternatives lie dormant in Japan’s diversity itself: tinker garages, corporate hotbeds, grassroots hubs, institutional labs, hacker bedrooms, editorial outposts etc. In those digital backyards innovators have been silently pursuing their work. Now they come together from all over Europe & Japan to explore synergies and common interests.
The conference is partitioned into a semi-open „Networking Lounge“ and „Public Talks“ that are accessible to a broad audience.

We have decided to take out all grass from our backyard and are busy planting native shrubs and small trees
Happy to finally have an outdoor "room" to enjoy in summer & fall, where we can keep out the black flies and mosquitos!
haven’t figured out how to set the time on it so if these say july 2024 they are actually march 6 2025. theoretically ipad adjusted the time. we’ll see
