Spotted this sweet bunny quietly nibbling near the bushes in our backyard. A gentle reminder that nature finds us, even at home.
More in the aftermath of the jackhammer. The concrete work in the backyard had several different sections. There was the original 1950's patio, the pink 1960's patio, the pathways, the add-ons to the pathways, and the various planters that have since been buried. There was a fishpond on the left (the plant was in an "island" in the middle of it). I remember when my dad put it in.
My first experiment with time lapse photography. Nothing to write home about , but at least I've learned more about what to do and what NOT to do.

After I was gone for the weekend I came back to find a HUGE flower! :)

Pics of a neighborhood juvie Cooper's Hawk that terrorizes the neighbor (and the backyard) birds. Almost everyday, even though I don't see him (or her), I hear the local alarms going off (Blue Jays).
These are the flowers in our backyard that I most like so far. We're still waiting to see what else we got with the new house we bought!
sipping my late morning tea, i spied the sun shining through these few orange flowers in the backyard.
test shot of jay on my Mamiya RB67 taken in front of a curtain in the back yard of my house on gold 200
This is a picture I took of my backyard at the beginning of this semester. I really liked the way the sky looked that day so I decided to photograph it. This photo shows all different types of biotic components because of the variety of plant life. An abiotic component in this picture that contrasts those of an aquatic environment is soil type. The ground in my back yard is rocky and hard packed making it difficult for certain plants to grow.
