Ball assignment for Intro to Studio at UCM.

My homework assignment for Fotoclub Camera Obscura's portrait workgroup. The assignment was to find a portrait photo, study it and try to make a very similar portrait.

This is the photo I selected as an example: www.flickr.com/photos/_lc/15886177724/

Okay, not the best but this is my idea for the assignment and if it makes you smile then it's job done. :)

A *tentative* assignment 15 for Lydie. I can't decide if I like all the extra goodies, or if I just want to keep it clean and simple. Either way, I'm happy with how it's turned out. XD

This image was taken to represent both contrasts (in this case straight & curve) in one photograph.

Some people have notebook planners, others have digital notifications. but

I like to use a big calendar to know what homework is due. Usually when

there's a big assignment due, I have to write it down on the date that it

is due on. Though very few times I'll forget to either write down the date

or do the assignment. I like using this calendar because it is big enough

for me to see than a tiny notebook that I'd be bound to lose.

So for these shoot, i had to take for both last week and this week assignment. And for my project i decided to follow up with a continuation of a another shoot i had done a few years ago and that is shooting construction sites. I choose construction site because to me this is an everyday thing, however to many others it brand new. The way i shot these images were done in different angles and seeing the inside of different building before any of the walls were added. I went around and saw three different sites and worked there getting my images. Most of these are done in a abstract way because i want to show a different more artistic side to something most people take for granted. During my shoot the sun was going down so i had to play with the little light source i had to play with my ISO and Aperture as well. I was a bit of a challenge mainly because i wasnt able to take my camera inside these areas, so i had to wait until work shift was over and come in the night to get my images. I took over 119 photos but chose these 23 because these were my best for both week, plus i had a few over 13 images from some other days i had taken images but i felt these here were my stronger ones.

Focus on the rear. A balcony really helps when you are working with a large object.
