official shacknews #10 assignment. brightened up a tad. (IT WON! yay!)

Hey guys,

I am definitely not an expert on editing. A lot of it actually confuses me and sometimes I will just be practicing different tools and the picture will look super good but I have no idea how it got here. This was a practice picture while working on archive 2 a while back. The original picture was bigger and there was more space showing. The first edit I did was crop the picture so the flower had a better focus and there no other distractions in the picture. I changed the brightness and contrast quite a bit. Before the picture was pretty bright. I wanted to make the background a little darker cause then the flower would really pop. I used the sharpen tool on the flowers petals. I like how the petals are very spread out. I really wanted to get that detail in focus. I also used the blurred tool on the concrete behind the floor. Again to give the flower the most attention. I like the darker background and the more vibrant flower. The flower almost doesn't look real. I like how this turned out a lot. :)

ISO:250, F-stop: f/3.5, shutter: 1/40 time: 10/15/2013 21:46 This was taken after a martial art class. i used a tripod to setup my camera on the side and used the light in the room as a back lighting to take a photo of myself.

A *tentative* assignment 15 for Lydie. I can't decide if I like all the extra goodies, or if I just want to keep it clean and simple. Either way, I'm happy with how it's turned out. XD

GAF Photography Assignment 88: Smoke/Fog/Haze/Steam/Vapor. While I was shooting a soccer game for a friend at work, I noticed these contrails making a pattern behind the stadium lights.

Assignment 1: Pop Art

I am very much a beginner in photo editing and with Lightroom CC. In lighting, I made a lot of minor touches to categories such as exposure, contrast, shadows, whites, and blacks. I also touched up the saturation a fair amount and the temp as well. I did my best to make this photo more vibrant and eye-catching than the original gloomy-themed photograph and I think that that was accomplished.

Some people have notebook planners, others have digital notifications. but

I like to use a big calendar to know what homework is due. Usually when

there's a big assignment due, I have to write it down on the date that it

is due on. Though very few times I'll forget to either write down the date

or do the assignment. I like using this calendar because it is big enough

for me to see than a tiny notebook that I'd be bound to lose.
