Hello Class,
To be honest, I was pretty nervous about this assignment going in, because I have never done any kind of photo editing before. In addition, I am not very tech savvy. For this photo, I made two different overall edits. First, through a series of steps, I corrected the white balance in the photo and then I sharpened the subject of the photo, the red seashell. I used the free trial of Photoshop CC for this assignment and quite a few youtube videos. I searched through a couple videos on youtube to find some that I could follow and understand, then I used them to apply the edits I desired. These videos took me through a series of steps on Photoshop CC, and after pausing and replaying many times, I was able to achieve the photo I wanted. I am super happy with how the photo turned out! The white balance correction makes a huge difference on the overall affect and color of the photo. Also, the sharpening edit allowed me to enhance just my subject and add to the shallow depth of field concept that I was striving for. Hope you all enjoy! My "model's" name was Scooter. He is a rather accommodating iguana who lives in the reptile petting zoo outside the Downtown Denver Zoo. The owners of the petting zoo placed him on the fence because he is the nicest iguana they have and he tends to pull more people in. That said I think he is quite used to having his picture taken and I kid you not he made subtle head and body movements as I snapped pictures just like a professional model. Most of the photos were taken from the front but I decided to try and capture his spine. Just as I was about to take the picture he moved his head to the left so that I could see and take a picture of his head as well.

So for these shoot, i had to take for both last week and this week assignment. And for my project i decided to follow up with a continuation of a another shoot i had done a few years ago and that is shooting construction sites. I choose construction site because to me this is an everyday thing, however to many others it brand new. The way i shot these images were done in different angles and seeing the inside of different building before any of the walls were added. I went around and saw three different sites and worked there getting my images. Most of these are done in a abstract way because i want to show a different more artistic side to something most people take for granted. During my shoot the sun was going down so i had to play with the little light source i had to play with my ISO and Aperture as well. I was a bit of a challenge mainly because i wasnt able to take my camera inside these areas, so i had to wait until work shift was over and come in the night to get my images. I took over 119 photos but chose these 23 because these were my best for both week, plus i had a few over 13 images from some other days i had taken images but i felt these here were my stronger ones.
