Taken for the Assignment 52 challenge- "Using lines for composition"
Once I started looking for lines, I couldn't stop! I posted several to my stream. This photo of these headstones and the double line of pines were my favorites (but it was a hard decision!)
I tried this in both color and B/W and while I'm a big fan of color, I liked the way the b/w eliminated the distracting colors and accentuated the lines.
Had to put a couple more in the comments. :-)

My husband's bromeliad, alcantarea imperialis. I like it when the sun shines through the leaves like this. There is something on the edge of one if the leaves - maybe a raindrop?

This is for Assignment 1 of the Visual Thinking School. Its a log with a flame - what do you want from me? It's only my third drawing!
This is the first one I took for this assignment. I had a low ISO for this photo, so it turned out fairly clear.
it's not much of a picture, but i couldn't resist taking a shot of miriam in front of the bahai temple.
this was taken with a perspective control lens i rented for an architectural assignment that's coming up. i need to clean my sensor.
Week 4, 2/10 Stars. I couldn't decide whether to stick with the original blue color of the door, seen here, or to change the door to yellow, as I did in the other photo. I am a bit partial to the yellow door, but the blue is brilliant, and I love them both. Both photos edited in Photoshop CS4, taken with a Canon EOS 50D, with a Canon 70-200mm telephoto zoom lens. (This photo was taken in August of 2010, and I used the original photo in order to complete the 'Splash the Color' assignment listed here: assignments.ds106.us/assignments/splash-the-color/)
