СМИ, социальные сети, новостные сайты, форумы, чаты завалены обсуждениями игры PokemonGo. Многие компании хотят примазаться к масштабной пиар компании и тоже заработать популярности. В одних кругах общения все поголовно устанавливают игру, отдельные личности возмущаются и негодуют.
В связи с информационным потоком, несущем горы мифов, рождаются полярные точки зрения. Попробуем разобраться в том, что из себя представляет игра, каковы плюсы и минусы, стоит ли на нее обращать внимание и, конечно, не забудем опасности, которые она несет. Это сейчас особенно модная тема.
Модно, весело, популярно
Я не буду судить о самой идее покемонов, я от нее далек, не увлекался, не смотрел и т.д. Сам геймплей достаточно примитивен. Есть куда более интересные сюжеты, есть и графика получше, есть и социальная часть посильнее. Массовая популярность обеспечена ажиотажем и небольшой новизной.
Не виртуальная реальность
Хотя из каждого угла нам твердят, что реально, виртуальная реальность, ее там нет. Да, есть карта, google maps, на которой отдельным слоем нарисованы игровые локации. Пожалуй, единственным отличием от остальных игр будет перемещение ногами, а не пальцем. Ловля покемонов, которая выложена на большинстве страниц с обзорами, самая дешевая и унылая фикция. С моим чехлом книжкой, постоянно закрывающим заднюю камеру зверьки успешно отображались на фоне обложки.. Никакого хождения с камерой по местности нет, направление, в котором смотреть, так же выбираете вы. Фактически это как рекламная пленка, которую клеят на экран телефонов, на смартфоне с запущенной камерой. После первой пятерки покемонов этот процесс ввергает в уныние.
Не новинка вообще
Как многие источники отмечают, программа является наследием Ingress, даже точки те же. Просто перерисованная и несколько приспособленная под обывателя (ингресс уж слишком гиковская) для массового распространения и очень пропиаренная. Кроме точек, есть и баги, они тоже переехали из ингресс, среди них например потеря спутников при отключении экрана и выжирание батареи.
Все так плохо?
Безусловно, есть плюсы, как и Ингресс, ловля покемонов потребует погулять. Это очень хорошо, особенно если вы не умеете бесцельно бродить, а сходить никуда не нужно. Формальная цель, даже не одна, вполне себе повод выбраться из дома. Для мало бывающих на воздухе детей будет только польза. Сами точки на карте выбираются не просто так, в Ингресс принимали только примечательные места, это какие-то памятники, интересные здания, статуи, граффити и прочее. Скачав игру я, конечно же, отправился в центр. Там много точек. Вроде и часто бываю в центре, но увидел несколько объектов, которые раньше не замечал. Чем не повод лучше изучить город?
Ходить или ездить?
Расположение точек несколько не располагает к пешим прогулкам, много их за такую прогулку не обойти. Я ездил на велосипеде, тоже не очень хорошее впечатление - для этого расстояние порой слишком маленькое, постоянно останавливаешься, рваный темп. Нервирует. Езда на машине или общественном транспорте смысла не имеет вовсе, так как карту нельзя посмотреть сильно далеко (примерно в радиусе 1км только).
Как играть
Я не пишу обзоры на игры, не записываю игровое видео, да и почти не играю. За этим скорее нужно ходить к геймблоггерам, там и видео, и картинки. Поэтому остановимся на технических зарядах игры. Заряд утекает быстро. Примерно 1% за 5 минут на моем 4360mah аккумуляторе. Это грустно. При этом если экран отключать, то не работает инкубатор (полученные яйца кладутся в него и надо пройти определенное расстояние, чтобы зверь вылупился), то есть расстояние тупо не учитывается. Ну не могу я на велосипеде ехать с включенной лопатой, не могу. На мелком телефоне это лучше даже не пробовать, размер экрана и без того не самое простое и приятное занятие испортит. Ходить по улицам, постоянно пялясь в телефон - удел ипотечников, им терять точно нечего.
Безопасность
Я не буду повторять банальные истины, что нужно смотреть, куда идешь, а не в телефон или планшет, особенно в России, и покемоны тут не при чем. Шагнуть под трамвай можно и лайкая котиков в ФБ. Про управление транспортным средством и отвлечение на телефон говорить еще глупее. Кстати заставка при загрузке намекает, что зазевавшихся геймеров на пути может поджидать дракон с открытой пастью. Поэтому сразу перейдем к вопросам информационной безопасности, а то в интернете появились параноидальные статьи:
Миф про то, что ЦРУ следит за нами следует отбросить как самый глупый. ЦРУ следит давно, игра вышла вчера..
Программа снимает ваше видео и отправляет его в ... . Ничего программа не снимает. Конечно, при желании можно поиграть в следователя и зайти в информацию о трафике:
Как видим, потребление вообще смех, даже по сравнению с другими игрушками, вроде бы не сетевыми даже.
Передаются точки перемещения. А как вы хотели без этого? Да, передаются, как и еще тысячей программ, которым это не требуется. Как иначе дать список объектов на карте рядом? Важен тут иной вопрос, ведь данные о перемещении и так всегда собираются и доступны тут, кому передаются данные? Оказывается, что у гугла все ходы давно записаны и это не представляет ценности для него.
СМС не отправляет (и не читает), за звонками не следит. Не вполне понятен bluetoth в правах, возможно оно умеет выдавать на умные часы оповещения, когда рядом есть покемоны (часов нет, проверить не удалось). Кстати, почему-то защита от спящего режима не работает, то ли в виду кривизны приложения, то ли EMUI глушит.
Секретные объекты РПЦ снимать все же можно. Как выше было отмечено, никакой трансляции видео нет. Разве что можно от верующих отхватить благодати, но гугл тут не при чем.
Сбор информации о соединениях. Да, приложение внимательно запишет все сети wifi с geo привязкой. Ну нравится это гуглу, и автомобили стритвью это делают, и карты. Почему игра должна быть в исключениях? Как таковой проблемы в этом нет, хотя бы потому, что с 90% вероятностью все сети, где ездят люди со смартфонами, гуглом давно переписаны. Это ни разу не секрет.
Подводя итоги
Плюсы и минусы вполне понятны и конкретны, рассуждения параноиков и фанатов всегда будут отличаться эмоциями и красочностью. На самом деле все проще и .. скучнее. Стоит ли играть? Лично меня как-то не зацепило. Посмотрим, что будет после официального запуска в России. Пока же можно скачать с 4PDA инсталлятор. Меня очень заинтересовала именно волна популярности, как в нее с радостью вписываются разные компании. Похоже, гугл умеет пиарить вещи чужими руками. Возможно, в следующих версиях баги поправят, работа будет более адекватной, а точки будут не только в центре.
А еще банки предлагают страховку игрокам, ведь все равно найдутся камикадзе, которые убьются..

So let me get you up to speed....
This time last year, during the last couple of days left of my Project 365, I decided to take off and leave to somewhere far far away, which sparked all my contacts on flickr to wonder where I was, hence the set "Where's Ansy??" was created. Only less than 2 weeks into the guessing game, some smartie-pant-contacts guessed correctly.
And yep, I moved myself and my camera to an island called Taiwan, which is all great and everything.
In a space of ONE YEAR, lots have happened. I just can't believe it's officially my 1st anniversary here in Taiwan. To think that 366 days ago I left the United Kingdom, then 365 days ago, I arrived here in Taiwan. It's insane how time suddenly flies.
And well, I've surprised myself that I've survived lots of things. For example:
Arrive.
Job interview [1].
Accepting job offer.
Started teacher-training.
Apartment hunt.
Found potential roommate.
Started teaching classes.
Still looking for apartment.
Food poisoning on birthday.
Apartment hunt.
Apartment found.
2 months later.
Moved in with roommate.
Struggle to make ends meet.
All money towards housing-project.
Broke.
God provideth money when so desperately needeth.
Roommate decides to leave TW due to depression and hating it here.
Ansy left roommate-less and lonely.
Ansy roommate-less, lonely, and bored.
Joined a new-church-plant team.
Bicycle accident on the road.
Pastor and Wife come and help me out. Sweet.
4 months later....
New roommate, a Taiwanese girl.
One month in, she had to leave.
Ansy becomes more and more financially stable.
2 months later...
New roommate. A Canadian, fellow Canto girl from same organisation thing.
Hope she's a keeper.
Roommate conveniently works within same school [ran by same boss].
Roommate is staying and is permanent!
Ansy learns how to ride a scooter.
Ansy fixes up the scooter (that someone gave to her, but has been sat there for 11 months waiting for Ansy to use it)
Ansy passes the scooter driving test and can drive legally on the roads.
Then is the rightful owner of the scooter [took a long long LONG time to get the title papers changed!]
Ansy still works at the same place, teaching kids.
That's about it.... That's pretty my year in a nut-shell.
I have a feeling the next year will be even better! :)
My 17th secret is this: I can sleep practically anywhere.
Basically if I just take off my glasses, my eyes lose focus, (everything literally looks all bokeh, but not really that pretty, enough to keep me up) and well, given that it's quiet, I will doze off.
I've slept in some pretty random places. And I'd be the one to volunteer to sleep on the floor [I did once when 3 girlfriends and I booked a twin bed hotel room once, to celebrate my birthday, I opted for the floor because it looked better than the bed]. I have even dozed off whilst mid-typing on my laptop. Dozed off in the kitchen whilst waiting for the kettle.
Then there was one time I fell asleep for 45minutes or so at Church! [not it wasn't on a Sunday, plus, couldn't on a Sunday because it's far too noisy, what with all the chinese people coming together to catch up!] Fell asleep one Saturday afternoon after worship practice [when everyone else left], and I had to stay behind to sort out the computer-projector system, finished that and dozed off before heading off to work later on in the afternoon!
PS. I'm not really sleeping here. The pews are really uncomfortable to sleep on [as discovered during this shot]. I tend to resort to sleeping on the sofas in the side hall. Much more comfier.

I won't even bother explaining how long it took to get those two annoying letter F's on the back of my neck! Eye-liner is so very messy, especially when attempting to do so on the back of the neck via one mirror behind me, and another in front....! But hurray for drawing out templates and cutting them out... Too hard to explain...
Then hurray for photoshop help too.
Anyway. My themed week "theme" isn't actually pop singers. Although, funnily enough for the past three days it has seemed like it.

Вход через смс популярен и распространен, одновременно с этим распространением появилась уверенность в его безопасности. Однако важно отметить, что ряд сервисов полностью перешел на смс аутентификацию, например мессенджеры. Таким образом нарушается главный принцип: знание+обладание, это все равно что писать PIN на кредитке или терять ключи с адресом. Обладающий может получить доступ. Пароли нужны. Но надо задуматься над их надежностью, какие пароли используют люди? Чаще всего или простые, или одинаковые. Иногда и то, и другое.
Решить проблему поможет бесплатное приложение от Google. На первый взгляд создается впечатление, что приложение поможет только с аккаунтами google, но это не так.
Суть метода в одноразовых (действует примерно 90 секунд) паролях. Они каждый раз разные, их не надо запоминать. Принцип заимствован у физических токенов, их любят в западных банках
В разное время разный PIN при условии синхронизированного времени на сервере и устройстве пользователя.
И да, интернет не нужен, если кто-то усомнился. Дело в том, что приложение не скачивает коды, оно их "придумывает" по определенному алгоритму из начального ключа. Его придется ввести (1 раз) при создании связки аккаунта и google authentificator: всего лишь отсканировав QR код Возвращаясь к вопросу сайтов важно отметить, что кроме google, facebook, lastpass и dropbox функционал GA можно использовать для многих сайтов. И все в одном приложении. Очень удобно в виде списка.
Сюда можно подключить вход на настольные компьютеры и даже сервера по ssh. А еще можно подключить свой сайт для входа через приложение.
На самом деле интернет не нужен даже на первом шаге, просто тогда придется руками впечатать секретный код (именно исходя из него и генерируются минутные простые пароли).
Безопасно ли это? Вполне. Удобно? Еще как. Минусы? Телефон придется всегда держать под рукой. Но может это не так и плохо?
К сожалению не все сервисы поддерживают двухфакторную авторизацию в принципе и GA в частности.

Day 32 - I got this guy a few months ago on flashdeals. Funny story, as I was sleeping, and wifey woke me up to buy this, I was in quite a daze. Stumbling to my computer, fighting to hold my eyes open as I inputed my account ID and pass to get and buy. The best part of flashdeals is when you click buy, it reserves 1 deal for you for like 2 minutes. Giving you like a short window to consider if you want to buy or not. Well considering that this package was 92% off, I was pretty sure I wanted to buy it. But the point is, the window is so small that if you did not have an account already set up. By the time you did get it set up after you clicked buy, it would be too late, someone else probably snapped up your deal, since they have a limited amount of them.
Anyways the plan was to go with Inge and his GF, but that sorta did not work out, so then the plan became Inge and my bro, that did not work out today as when I sent confirmation text to Inge, he remembered, that he had to do something for mothers day. Since I m sure wifey did not want to eat a whole pizza to herself, I was in search of someone to attend with us. First message went to my co-worker who seemed interested, but needed to confirm with his GF if she was available. That was fine, but then I waited for a response and was starting to get ansy, I did not realize she was at the moment studying and could not respond to him. Victory was achieved around 2 o'clock when he messaged me saying she was in.
Had a good night, as it had been a while since I had picked up a bowling ball, after bowling we ordered our pizzas and played pool. We sorta stopped pool when the pizzas showed up and just chilled after that. All in all it was a good evening minus the rain.
Oh and last shout out to wifey who took this photo, is that cheating for this??? Is it cheating that I was there to watch her take it?

Для пользователей, у которых на одно ФИО будет оформлен договор на интернет и телевидение от Домру и мобильная связь от МегаФона доступна скидка. Чтобы принять участие в акции следует использовать тарифы Все включено (кроме XS). На один проводной интернет можно подключить 3 мобильных номера (правда они все должны быть оформлены на одного владельца). В этом случае будет начисляться скидка 20% на каждое подключение. Таким образом операторы предлагают экономить до 500р в месяц. Сама по себе программа бессрочная и призвана повысить лояльность существующих абонентов, однако тем, кто воспользуется ей сейчас, жду 3 месяца удвоения мобильного пакета, так на тарифе S будет не 400 минут, а 800, не 6гб, а 12. При этом на него все так же распространяется скидка в 20%, то есть абонентская плата составит всего 240р.

Есть мнение, что Домру прячет в личном кабинете тарифы с более низкой абонентской платой, чем текущий.

Оказывается тариф Пакет М должен называться M 2.0 Old.
Такой есть в личном кабинете, но это совсем не M. Просим переключить, повторяем попытку.

It's March the 17th. It's Monday. It's St. Patrick's day today. And I'm wearing green. Or should I say, I'm a green.
Technically, the Catholic church changed the Saint Patrick's day to the 15th on Saturday due to the Holy Week (which started yesterday...)
But nonetheless, it still doesn't stop the punters(!) drinking their Guinesses.
It's amazing how the world celebrates this day by getting drunk. Complete and utter madness. What has society become?!
I'm a green. I'm healthy. I don't binge-drink. You and I should STRIVE FOR FIVE instead!! ;)
Happy Birthday Ansy!
That's right folks. It's my birthday! Another year has gone by very very quickly.
I remember one of the first birthday shots I took. With just a cupcake and a candle. That was 3 years ago.
And then there was a small little get together with close friends after a biblestudy 2 years ago. Yep, there was a nice cake, with a few candles.
And then, just last year, as I was so far away from home, in a new place... I celebrated with a cupcake [I didn't have cake last year :( no one baked me one nor bought me one] So I had a cupcake with a billion candles [or.... maybe 23....]
This year, yes, there'll be cake and candles. I'll make sure of it. But I wanted a self portrait instead. All dressed up and glam and everything.
So yep. I'm 24 this year. I hope it will be a good one. It's the second cycle of the lunar chinese animal calender thing. Year of the Ox: my year....
Anyway.

Ok. I've only just realised how dry my skin was on the corner of my mouth.... Damn makeup... Nothing I can do about it now. I did the post-processing earlier this afternoon and it seems like a lot to ask to re-do anything about it. There we go. Ugliness in it's fullest form.
The "thing" on my head is actually a pillow, you know, the latest trend of small cylinderesque cushions for people to wedge on that little bottom corner where chairback-rest comes in contact with bum rest base of chair? Yeh, there... where people usually use this pillow/cushion to rest one's bum?! Lol.... but with teeny weeny beans? Yah.
On my head. Pushed up and deformed due to my head. Yah. I know I look ridiculous.
My friend did it once and I figured she inspired me to do the same :)
I'm convinced some of my friends back home are WAITING for an "Ansy Moment" adventure. Oh my. There are always loads. Even before getting on the bus to the airport, that was a classic Ansy Moment [I purchased the wrong bus/coach tickets, didn't turn up for it, wrote down the wrong times, turned up to the next coach time only to find out I missed it and had the wrong bus, so had to fork out for the tickets all over again. Pah! But my mother went ape! But I'm here now right?!]
But here, I had just finished showering, and as you do, you naturally open the window [I'd shower with the window open, but people CAN see in...] So I opened it, and I thought it'd be better to push the metal "mesh" screen to one side too, to let the air come flowing in [so darn hot over here!]
And then... get this... somehow, the screen gets loose [I was aware of this before, cos I found this the case in my bedroom, only there was a nice metal windowsill bar thing for putting plants on etc]
But somehow, the bathroom window metal mesh screen came really lose, and before I could be quick enough [not tall enough as it is] I couldn't grab onto it, and before I realised anything, it was taken away by gravity.
I thought, oh I can't hear anything, it seems fine, maybe there's like a plastic sheet or net or sponge material just in case we drop anything from the fifth floor.
But after what seemed like a minute [it was more like 2 nano seconds] I heard a crash and a car alarm went off!!!!
Oh my goodness....
So I quickly sprung out of the bathroom, [fully clothed of course, I was fulled clothed when the incident happened..!] and notified the couple I am staying with currently...
After 3 minutes the car alarm sounded like it had either been switched off, or it realised nobody was gunna come along and give it attention so went silent. Hmm. Still didn't know which option tho
So the couple am staying with decided to go downstairs to go on a quest to find the metal mesh window screen! They came back up with it, and told me there was a teeny weeny small dent on the rood of the car downstairs, there was nobody there, but they figured they should leave a note, like good Christians.
I was tempted to tell them to leave it.
But the funny thing was, we had decided to write it in ENGLISH because well, not many people can speak English or read it well enough. And if they really really wanted the trouble, they'd call us to sort something out...! But considering we were foreigners, they probably wont... haha... Let alone understand it!
And after writing the note, I went down with her, and went to inspect the dent and to
take a photo for the sake of it!
A classic Ansy moment, I'll tell ya. My first Ansy Moment in this country! Excellent. I'm certain there'll be plenty more. But this one was scary cos it was something I dropped from the fifth floor, luckily nobody was hurt [except for the car]. Thinking about dropping things down from a great height scares me a little... I'm a little weak in the knees now while I am re-living the incident and typing it out! Argh...
