I'm sorry about the continuous heart thing recently, but I've had like a million ideas regarding heart-shaped things lately that I can't seem to get rid of. Well, I do have a confession, well, the heart shape is one of my favourite shapes ever, as demonstrated here.

Мое повторное знакомство с ныне четвертым федеральным оператором стало возможным благодаря квесту. В качестве обязательного условия требовалось приобрести симкарту, с нее в ходе задания совершались звонки. Прежде чем перейти непосредственно к обзору связи, хочется отметить, что квест хоть и не продолжителен, но весьма интересен, за что хочется поблагодарить Т2. После квеста я решил продолжить знакомство со связью в оплаченный месяц, и вот что из этого вышло. В комплекте кроме самой симкарты идут условия оказания услуг связи, копия договора и памятки по командам. Отдельно хочется выразить недоумение по поводу отсутствия nanoSIM. Конечно на мой личный взгляд все эти попытки экономить миллиметры несколько бессмысленны, но коль скоро многие производители стали делать аппараты именно под такой форм фактор..
Отдельно хочется отметить дизайн упаковки. Все классно, ничего лишнего. Правда привычной синевы не хватает. Прежде, чем перейти к деталям, хочу отметить, что в далеком 2005 я имел опыт с теле2, равно как и с другими нижегородскими операторами. По сути это был своеобразный конкурс, кто же лучше и круче. Победителем оказался другой. Качество сигнала было ужасно, постоянные разрывы, пропадание фрагментов фраз и низкий уровень сети, про скорость интернета и речи не шло. Сейчас, когда компания вышла на новый уровень, что-то должно было измениться.
Итак, ставим sim карту в телефон. И у нас нет обещанного 3G. У всех есть, а у нас нет! На самом деле у tele2 нет своего 3G, абоненты в Нижегородской области могут пользоваться сетью Rostelecom, как бэ в роуминге. При этом конечно дополнительной платы не списывается, но автоматически телефон к этой сети не будет цепляться. Приходится работать руками. Основная сложность заключается в том, что при переходе с одной симкарты на другую, они меняются в работе режимами. То есть при каждом переходе с 2 в 3g на симкарте нужно заново выбирать ростелеком.
Есть и еще проблема с переключением. Каждый раз заново приходят настройки интернета и mms. Я не уверен, что они перестанут приходить даже спустя месяц. Кроме того, сообщения от оператора приходят непонятно как, что попали в диалог от 2domains. Возможно эта особенность может стать основой фишинга. Но в принципе в этом никакой проблемы нет. А вот смешной косяк с шаблоном времени не починили до сих пор.
Проведенный сразу же замер скорости Кстати говоря есть проблема, что при использовании сети Ростелекома это при том, что прошел примерно год, после слияния. При этом реализация роуминга выдает мне Омский IP адрес, что удивительно. Но проблема может возникнуть на различных сайтах, использующих IP адрес для определения города. Звоню сам себе на соседнюю симку через 3G от Ростелеком. Звонок проходит. Следует отметить развитие сайта. В 2005 году личный кабинет был только у одного оператора. Остановимся на нем подробнее Есть управление подписками и услугами
Наличие управления подписками конечно же радует, однако подключить контентный счет оператор, претендующий на честность, не позволит, несмотря на то, что такая возможность является требованием закона.
Приятным сервисом в виде виртуальной карты теле2 тоже обзавелся относительно недавно. Однако карту можно использовать не на всех сайтах и других интернет сервисах. Кроме этого доступен сервис кошелька, здесь возможна оплата услуг с баланса. При этом сумма оплаты должна быть такой, чтобы остаток был не менее 10р.
Что же с качеством услуг? Оператор никогда не позиционировал себя как надежного, всегда делался акцент на цены и честность. Некоторые пользователи услуг готовы мириться с некоторыми сложностями, если считают, что сильно экономят. Тестирование в течение 3 недель показало следующие особенности:
Звонки по прежнему могут обрываться. То есть соединение не сбрасывается, но повисает мертвая тишина. Проблема замечена при звонках на разные сети. Однако есть общее сходство: использование сети tele2. То есть здесь существенного изменения за 10 лет так и не случилось. Это грустно.
Однако при нахождении в техническом роуминге (3g) ростелекома, сейчас очень хорошо все слышно. Звонки проходят с первого раза, не обрываются и не хрипят. Очевидно это заслуга бывшего НСС, но так как после поглощения этой сетью могут пользоваться абоненты теле2, это хороший рост.
Интернет. В общем первый замер не впечатляет, но бывает и хуже, и лучше. Тестировать 2g сеть теле2 смысла лично я не вижу. Такая скорость для современных сайтов просто неприменима. Что касается сети РТ, то она может обеспечить вполне хорошую скорость. Однако, при проектировании рассчитывалась емкость на небольшое количество абонентов НСС. Потянуть всех их, да и еще абонентов теле2 оборудование не сможет. Отсюда такие разбросы в скорости в ранее утреннее время, и время, когда народу же проснулся. Тесты проводились в одном месте, на одном аппарате.
СМС. С ними все хорошо. Кроме некоторых странностей с смс от оператора.
Подводя итоги можно отметить, что использовать теле2 исключительно в 2g по прежнему не самое удачное решение. Использование сети 3g способно предоставить достаточно надежную голосовую связь. При этом, появление даже такого 3Г у tele2 произошло достаточно поздно по сравнению с остальными операторами, поэтому их симкарты используются в простых телефонах, где интернет не критичен или в качестве второй симки в смартфонах. При таком сценарии использования можно отметить, что количество абонентов, загружающих сеть Ростелекома еще может увеличиваться. Если компания не начнет развивать собственную инфраструктуру базовых станций вместо рекламы появившегося 3g, качество может упасть еще ниже.
Напрашивается вывод, что использование этой связи без сложностей пока что не представляется возможным, что косвенно подтверждают и сотрудники фирменных салонов продаж: я не буду указывать имя работника, поделившегося тем, что сам пользуется связью другой компании. Самой честной теле2 назвать тоже не получится, хотя бы потому, что они не дают возможности создать контент счет, что у конкурентов делается установкой галочки в личном кабинете. Самым дешевым впрочем t2 считать тоже будет ошибочно, особенно если учитывать обрывы связи и необходимость перезванивать. Пожалуй выгоду ощутят пользователи НСС, перешедшие "по наследству" в теле2, так как могут пользоваться покрытием сети НСС по ценам т2.

Funny how nobody here sits on the grass. I can kinda see why though.

However, from what I remember the grass in LA is like this too (that's the grass on someone's front/back yard.... given that the owner of the house waters the grass nearly daily... from what I've been told!)

I don't have a washer/dryer, so I wash at my mom's and hang things up EVERYWHERE in my house afterward. These are my shirts hanging on the shower curtain rod :)
I really like windowsills. I mean I really do. I like how windowsills are just there, as an extra surface area, part of the house. Just being a windowsill.
I like them mainly because most windowsills allow you to put things on them. And as soon as you put things on them, the objects all look nice when you look at them. Or when you look at them from outside they look different too.
Or some windowsills you can sit on, some people put pillows or put a sofa [like in large bay-windows etc]. I just love it.
I think it's because of the light though. Be it a window facing the sunlight directly. Or just the window facing anywhere BUT the sun [i.e. north-facing], I do like windowsills. In fact a lot of my photos are usually taken on a windowsill of somesort.
Anyway. So this was the selfie I took today at the Retreat camp I spent the last 2 nights at.
As tired as I am right now, I quickly did this so it's a kinda rushed job. Apologies.
But I liked them all enough to be happy with them to upload them. But couldn't decide [again, being tired and being indecisive also does not help]. Sorry am rambling. Very tired. Also think I'm showing very early signs of symptoms from a bad flu. Boo.
Let's just say I came home couple of hours ago, had a wonderful hot shower, had some plain but yummy vermicelli noodles, did the photos I so needed and now am in bed with laptop all snuggled up and nearly dozing off to sle
So I had to quickly snap this up, and I honestly cannot be bothered with this shot, simply because I'm going to go out now for a great Craft Shopping Spree. Simply because there's a craft exhibition and shopping markets installed for three-days-only in our local arena. It's an annual event. And you bet, I'm always there on the first of the three-days.
Trust me. Friday is the only day one goes. That's when there are more choice of variety. Saturday is far too busy. And Sunday is my day of rest [also, the stalls won't be full of stock anymore].... So... Today I'm off to the craft fair. To buy more things that I do not need. And to go there for more inspiration, creative idea-swapping and to see what's new and what's not in the world of arts and crafts! Yay!

There's really no need to show and tell about my *ahem* slight obsession...So here displays an *acceptable* number of products to own. Ahem.

So like in most hot countries, where I am currently situated, you get your fair share of cockroaches.
I've killed 5 bugs while temp staying with the couple am staying with [until I find a suitable place to stay].
Apparently bugs exist whether your house is clean or not. Hmm. I dunno I wanna agree with this. There seems to be a fair number of bugs in this apartment. Say no more.
So the cockroaches that end up in buildings are teeny weeny in comparisons to the cockroaches you get out on the streets [huge ones! massive massive ones!]
They're quick, especially when they know you have the cockroach-killer-spray ready in hand.
There are some black ones [as seen in this picture] and some others that look like grass-hoppers...!
Anyway.... I hate cockroaches. Maybe I just don't like bugs in general. Not that I have anything against bugs that are in their natural habitat. I just dislike them invading my personal space. Thats all.

Not happy with this one. Could've been better. What with the annoying background for a start, and the lighting conditions... It'd be a lot better if I had a macro lens or something. So not happy with this one. Not happy with a lot of things. But there we go.
Here I am sporting my NEW Threadless tee, entitled "Emotional Trip"! Finally received it through the post all the way from US of A. As much as I love my new Threadless tees, I won't be making any more purchases from their website because of the silly custom charges I had to pay to have it sent over (paying silly Royal Mail! grrrr). Hopefully the next time I have a new Threadless tee will be when Threadless open a store somewhere here in UK, or if I fly over to US of A.
I find that this tee actually reflects my current mood (sort of), and also mirrors the current headlines in the national newspapers and national news of today. All about prozac and current anti-depressants. Something about having the same affects as a placebo (lush name, great band) drug. Hmm. I wouldn't really know much about that category of drugs. Although sometimes I'm so tempted to go to my doctor and demand a prescription of it, now and then.

Royal Army Ordnance Corps Born on the 3rd October 1935 and died on Saturday, 18th February 1956, a four engined Avro York aircraft, G-ANSY, belonging to Scottish Airlines crashed near Zurrieq. It had been chartered by the Royal Air Force and was being used to carry troops from Suez in Egypt, to the U.K., with a stop-over in Malta.As the plane took off, the air traffic controllers at Luqa airport saw smoke coming from one of the engines, and informed the pilot, Captain Frank Coker, immediately. The plane appeared to climb to around 1,000 feet before going into a dive and crashing into the ground.
As it was loaded with around 2,000 gallons of high octane aviation fuel, the plane exploded on impact and was engulfed by flames. The men on board numbered a crew of five, with 45 passengers, all RAF personnel except for Private Smith. When the rescue services arrived at the scene it was clear that there were no survivors. The bodies of the co-pilot, navigator, radio officer and an air hostess were taken to the U.K. for burial. All the others are here in Imtarfa.

It's been a while since I've done a Fancy Dress Friday shot.
So here it is. I nabbed the idea from a friend's old facebook profile picture (the all dressed up with boxes and all, to a party!)
Only I couldn't really wrap up a box and do it that way. So spent a bit of time doing it on photoshop to practise a little bit with my colouring photo technique! It took me longer than usual (because of constant disruptions and having to do stuff here for family members....)
I wish I had more time, but I have to go dash off now.
Stress levels? Haha... Higher than ever.
My friend and I had a massive argument last night. She is officially NOT talking to me now :(
And family... family? Sigh...

Piping Technology & Products custom designed and fabricated pre-insulated pipe supports for high temperature application in an HP Steam Header located in Texas. These hot shoes range in size from 2" to 12" in diameter and are 12", 15" and 18" long, with BOP of 4" and 6". The supports include a thin blanket insulation. The trunnion assembly is resting on a high compressive strength insulation material. These supports are designed for temperatures up to 844°F with an operating load of 17,965 lb. at 732 psig. A total of 95 supports were manufactured for this project, including pipe hangers, pipe shoes with insulation and trunnion supports, as well as pipe shoe clamps without insulation. All supports were inspected by Q.C. and the insulated supports underwent a simulation on ANSYS.
Here in Asia and more so here in Taiwan, I get to see a fair share of wooden/metal/plastic/paper gods.
This one is most likely made of plastic. Dressed intricately, and the necklace consists of bagel-like soft-buns, a hole so that it can be strung with ease.
I’m unsure of the name of this god, but i *think* it might be a god called matsu: which seems to be the biggest god here on this island of Taiwan.
But here, they believe in many many gods. hundreds, thousands, even.
It’s a little sad. Because people collect gods, even Jesus as a god to add to their shelf of idols to turn to when they need something. My friend once told me they knew of someone who worshipped Santa also--literally had a mini santa-figure on their shelf along with their other idols.
Crazy stuff.
Fact is, the God who created the earth specifically told us to not worship anything that was created, but just to worship Him alone: the Creator. It’s simply insane that someone sane can worship something they made--how can a created object bring about supernatural things?!
I have no idea--but it gets rather dark when these objects do supernatural things... Some form of demented dark stuff happening that makes me shiver at times.
And in contrast to this darkness, there’s the light: God the Father who sent His Son Jesus to be the light of the world.
The dark gods and spirits bring about terror and fear, anxiety, hate and bad things, scary mediums. Yet in contrast to this, there’s peace from God. God who provides tranquility and love. Why, oh why would someone want to go away from the good stuff?!
The world is full of false gods. Makes me sad. I wish one day the whole world will see that there is only One True God, and everyone will worship Him... I can only pray....
