Alien movie build: Hey everyone I’m back with a long awaited moc! I recently watched the new Alien movie, Alien Romulus and I figured I’d take a crack at an alien build! This is much different than my normal builds but I figured I would sink my teeth into something new! This build depicts some creativity of Ripley taking on an Alien with a flamethrower! With this build I really wanna to get the aesthic down and use some references luckily for me I had my good friend @bricksia supply me with some interior designs from the game Alien Isolation! As well as my own perusing of the internet! For the alien design I used a mix of @hypolite_bricks and some other designs for the alien as well as inspiration from his much more superior build! As well the Ripley figure too with some creative liberties of course haha! I few of the things that I wanted to tackle for this build was door as well as how the ceiling was gonna be done! Luckily for me I had a bunch of the friends boat molds and it works perfectly for the build!Using the boats upside using some stud reversal to get it right as well as some structural pipes to keep the ceiling from buckling and bending! In terms of the door it took me about 6-7 interations to get it right, but with that being said it’s much smaller than this but I figured I would make it the height of the alien so it can have access to the door! Also too tried to make it as accurate as possible with the shaping! Anyway long story short it was a lot of fun trying to get this build right from the angles to the ,structural support, to the door as well as the fig placement and other techniques I decided to try too! Another attempt at making alien trees. Inspired by a conversation with John Templeton during the last Mobile Frame Zero hangout. Each level of the tree is one hit. The tree on the left can take two hits and the one on the right four, before being brought below the height level for cover in Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack.
Our local photography group had an outing at our fire department. Our presenter was not only knowledgeable and passionate about what he did but was also a 2nd generation fire fighter.
After reviewing some of my images, this one reminded me of aliens.
This is the original sketch from the secret dossier from Area 51 depicting the mysterious alien.
Who is it: a living creature in an exosuit, a cyborg or a robot?
It has a humanoid shape, but the differences from human anatomy are significant. And the purpose of all those devices on its suit remains unclear.
Until I started looking back through my photos, I didn't realize that first of the rock formations in this photo was one I had named the "Native American".
That's the thing, there are so many rock formations in the Alien World, you will find something new every time you go, and find things you saw from before.

This is a simple Nayantara( as known in Bengal) flower. I was sitting idle looking at it. Suddenly this idea of clicking it and adding my imagination to it came to my mind. I was trying to imagine how an alien flower would look like...brown leaves...flourescent blue petals...
This was just for fun!!!
Another starfighter, this time a little more alien-y! Certainly no Vic Viper, but perhaps a cheap baddie that can be easily and endlessly killed by one! The NoVVember challenge was definitely an inspiration for this.
The Mandible-Class Starfighter is an alien vessel capable of both atmospheric and interstellar operations. Pilotless, the Mandible is controlled through the alien hivemind but can also behave autonomously if connection is severed.
Multiple weapon systems allows the Mandible to engage a both light and heavy targets. Furthermore, the fighter is capable of acting in an anti-capital ship role. Using its claw-like wings, the Mandible attaches to a large vessel and overloads its antimatter engines, creating an enormous explosion.

Ridley Scott's sci-fi horror classic ALIEN was first seen by audiences 40 years ago today (May 25th, 1979). Ironically, the world premiere of the movie was at the SIFF film festival in my adopted hometown of Seattle (a festival that I am also attending at the moment). So how could I not recreate this movie in LEGO!
Over the years there have been plenty of LEGO recreations of the various creatures, vehicles and sets from Alien franchise. But for this build I decided to focus on the genre-changing moment when Kane peers into the alien egg! From that point on, screen sci-fi would never be the same again.

Managed to finally make some more of what I consider to be 'good" aliens, that is, they look like something that might actually appear on Star Wars or Star Trek. The stalk-eyed ones are my favorite. :)
Left to Right:
Chinlop: Highly intelligent insectoids with characteristically short tempers to match their short statures.
Hossyo: Primitive slug-like beings. They are actually as intelligent as an average human, but a lack of appendages makes it difficult to be anything but primitive. They can move small objects with their tails.
Kaak' igorg: These sentients can run fast! Their ancestors were once preyed upon by predators millenia ago, but now they dwell within protected cities on their home planet.
Juccan: Smooth-skinned humanoids with horns instead of hair. Skin color varies from peach-colored to a light blue.
Qekkisd: A long history of agriculture makes these green-skinned swamp dwellers skilled algae farmers.

A MFZ-ish scale mech/alien mostly using the Galaxy Squad alien colours. He has wings that fold out too!
This MOC was intended for the preliminary round of the 2017 Bio-Cup contest here on Flickr, the prompt for which was to re-imagine a Lego set in Bionicle form. I've always thought some of the coolest System sets were from Mars Mission, and the Alien Infiltrator already has sort of a humanoid silhouette, so that was a natural choice for me. Unfortunately I was too busy to finish it in time for the contest, but I still definitely wanted to finish and post it at some point. Enjoy!

I don't have much room to do these shots properly, but I enjoy doing them.
Some photoshop adjustments in brightness/contrast, colour balance, & film grain.
Downsampled 3760x1600 anamorphic shot, using SRWE; Midhrastic WIP ENB (.190 binary) w/ boulotaur's SweetFX (w/ SMAA, Luma, HDR, Gaussian Blur, DPX, LGG, tonemap, vibrance, curves).
It didn't take long before I got tired of the cockpit of my Alien Intercepter, so I decided to do a new one. I had this new kind in mind when I first built the model, but at that time I felt it was too far from the theme.
The weapons, engine and wings also got a tune up. Generally I think it's for the better although I'm uncertain about a few changes.
Anyways, I believe it's improvement enough to secure it's survival for a while :-)
I spiced up the presentation a bit, although I didn't have much time to apply the final polish. I might get around to it later :-)
You start to feel like you might be visiting a different planet when hiking Joshua Tree's backcountry. Not sure what this little plant is, but it added to the surreal experience. Cropped and edited for Sliders Sunday. HSS!
Next alien flora top is done! This one is going to be a bit more difficult to construct the electronics, so I will need to figure that out before I can baste and quilt it.

7400 bricks for the finished state, which get’s this to a size of 61 x 45 x 18cm.

Maggiemae discovered a crashed spacecraft in the hostas, she is inspecting the damage as the alien looks on. Turns out he is from Sirius the dog star and Maggiemae wants to help him get home.
