Until I started looking back through my photos, I didn't realize that first of the rock formations in this photo was one I had named the "Native American".
That's the thing, there are so many rock formations in the Alien World, you will find something new every time you go, and find things you saw from before.
This is the original sketch from the secret dossier from Area 51 depicting the mysterious alien.
Who is it: a living creature in an exosuit, a cyborg or a robot?
It has a humanoid shape, but the differences from human anatomy are significant. And the purpose of all those devices on its suit remains unclear.

This MOC was intended for the preliminary round of the 2017 Bio-Cup contest here on Flickr, the prompt for which was to re-imagine a Lego set in Bionicle form. I've always thought some of the coolest System sets were from Mars Mission, and the Alien Infiltrator already has sort of a humanoid silhouette, so that was a natural choice for me. Unfortunately I was too busy to finish it in time for the contest, but I still definitely wanted to finish and post it at some point. Enjoy!

Next alien flora top is done! This one is going to be a bit more difficult to construct the electronics, so I will need to figure that out before I can baste and quilt it.
Love, dedication, enthusiasm and a little bit of maddness sprinkled in I'd say...An assortment of ALIEN, ALIENS, ALIEN: ISOLATION and PROMETHEUS work currently in progress...The ALIEN series is getting close to completion while the other series including ALIEN 3 (not pictured) are gearing up for 2016. ‪#‎alien‬ ‪#‎aliens‬ ‪#‎alien3‬ ‪#‎prometheus‬ ‪#‎alienisolation‬ ‪#‎sculpting‬ ‪#‎customactionfigures‬ ‪#‎dioramas‬

The uber tenacious, highly invasive and therefore ubiquitous bracken, a fern that was growing well before dinosaurs romped the earth.
Close-up study of this sturdy plant species in its sprouting stage.

" Bracken (Pteridium) is a genus of large, coarse ferns in the family Dennstaedtiaceae. Ferns (Pteridophyta) are vascular plants that have alternating generations, large plants that produce spores and small plants that produce sex cells (eggs and sperm). Brackens are noted for their large, highly divided leaves. They are found on all continents except Antarctica and in all environments except deserts, though their typical habitat is moorland. The genus probably has the widest distribution of any fern in the world... " - Wiki

The thing I enjoyed most about visiting Iceland for 3 weeks was how foreign the landscape was to me. If someone had told me that I would find a treeless island so attractive before arriving in Iceland, I would have laughed at them. But Iceland is one place I would go back to in a heartbeat. I still think about all the photo opportunities I missed, so I'm sure I will be planning a return trip. This image is a reminder to me of just how spectacular and alien Iceland can be.
