On the hood of my car, it was moving pretty quickly so it almost moved right out of the picture, but I kinda' like it anyway . . .'-))
Have a great week peeps ! ! !
I created this Alien blue world purely through experimenting with various things within Lightroom 4. The original was taken some months ago and has been sat on my hard drive not doing much so I hope you like my creation.

The sun sets on an alien sky, complete with fake flare! I must add that the colours are nearly natural. I made the dark bit just a bit more purple but the rest was how I saw it.
That's why I pressed the shutter button! :-)
My LEGO version of the iconic 1979 ALIEN Xenomorph.
This has been an exceptionally challenging and and mind-expanding build. Working from references to create these organic shapes was a wholly new type of MOCing for me. I learned soooooo much during the late nights tinkering away at this guy.
Also, sorry for the delay in posting the shots of this bad boy. I had to move right after the convention and hadn't gotten a chance to photograph it. I still want to work on it further and finish up the bust ( if not the whole thing! ) someday. Again, I hope to have a REALLY pro photo setup again soon, fingers crossed for a home-loan and the perfect place to move into.
Comments and feedback much appreciated!

No idea what this flying object, that popped into my image, is. I only noticed it after downloading - taken while driving around this 90 km long lake.
LAGO DE CHAPALA, Jalisco, Mexico
Lake Chapala, Mexico nestled in a mountain valley just 50 minutes south of Guadalajara and 25 minutes from the international airport, is the largest inland body of water in Mexico. It is 90 km long and 20 km wide and is situated on the border between the states of Jalisco and Michoacan and approximately a 3 ½ hour drive from the Pacific ocean.

Once caught and gutted octopus are beaten (usually against the quayside) to tenderise the meat, then hung in the sun for a few hours prior to cooking.
My virtual fall route home has fell in October so I swung by the NOAA Table Mountain Facility and captured this alien trekking down the road from his landing site. No ordinary alien terrorist this; is that an explosive belt around his midriff. Ole Muerte lead me to believe that he may be returning. Alas poor Muerte, will he ask me to take him to the NSA? This is what interstellar radio telescopes detected? Is that an assault rifle in his hand? He surely looks like an alien!
Looking at the sky, I am sure I won't have to dodge the snow today. The TV weather panic really blew the feet of snow forecast; little detectable snow showed. In fact we have seen an inch or two on the grass. Midmorn and none was on the ground. Well, back to a temporary autumn. Thanks Koch Bros. Well, it is finally getting cooler and it is easier to sleep.
Macro shot of... something...
First of a series. Will post the rest over a couple of days, and with each one what the subject is should become clearer...

Another attempt at making alien trees. Inspired by a conversation with John Templeton during the last Mobile Frame Zero hangout. Each level of the tree is one hit. The tree on the left can take two hits and the one on the right four, before being brought below the height level for cover in Mobile Frame Zero: Rapid Attack.
Just some weird wig form I picked up at an estate sale. Someday I'll do something with it. For now she lives in my studio, staring blankly out the window. She looks like an alien to me.

This is the original sketch from the secret dossier from Area 51 depicting the mysterious alien.
Who is it: a living creature in an exosuit, a cyborg or a robot?
It has a humanoid shape, but the differences from human anatomy are significant. And the purpose of all those devices on its suit remains unclear.
Our local photography group had an outing at our fire department. Our presenter was not only knowledgeable and passionate about what he did but was also a 2nd generation fire fighter.
After reviewing some of my images, this one reminded me of aliens.

Because we are people too!
The Alien Liberation Front
PS - this would be probably much funnier if racism was not such a real issue (especially round here), and if "alien" did not have the meaning it has in english.

Most of you that follow my work know that I often incorporate Alien Skin's software into my workflow. I am have become somewhat of a spokesperson for the company, write for them, and they have used my work in promotions and advertsing. I spotted this extremely bright green grasshopper in one of my summer wine bushes. The color effect was very cool, and very alien. I played with the color a bit more in Alien Skin Exposure, and got a look I really like here. It was already an "alien" looking creature, so decided to go ahead and celebrate Alien Skin software at the same time! Write to me if you ever want more info on the software.
Technical information Canon EOS 6D, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS, Processed in Adobe Lightroom 5, Adobe Photoshop CC, and Alien Skin Software 6
