This is Don's photo of the Alien handprint. You can actually see it with his photo.

Another in my ICM Series. Taken on a path in a park. As always there isn't really a formula for these kinds of shots some of it is trial and error. This one was taken with a shorter than my usual 1/4 shutter speed.

Just a black alien I build in my spare time.

These things would be a hell of a lot easier to kill than Ridley Scott's xenomorphs. All you need to do to down this sucker is to blow lightly on its legs.

All jokes aside, this thing is a pain in the ass to set up.

This is part of a larger sci-fi installation at Rails on the Rockies in Estes Park this weekend with CoWLUG. The hover vehicles are from sets that I just removed the wheels from to replace with trans dishes. Turned out pretty cool.

I decided to do "Alien Landscape" the MOCathalon category since I didn't get a chance to when the MOCathalon was running. It was a fairly quick build, so it's not my best. I was quite pleased with the outcome, and I hope you are too.

I had a successful and not so successful trip. I found the Alien World area in the Valley of Dreams area, but wasn't able to get to the King of Wings.

Don and I hiked for several hours getting to Alien World in 40 mph winds. You have many gullies and streams to cross, along with sandy dune areas. Anyway, after 5 hours in the Valley of Dreams area, we had had it.

Now to the Alien World area and the Valley of Dreams. It has awesome rock formations. I could post pictures until you are sick of the area. There was also amazing amount of petrified wood, including large logs. It is another place I hope to get back to, I'm sure I missed many rock formations in it.

If you get the chance to see this, I highly recommend it. I don't think you would be disappointed.

An Alien sighting in Winters Elm, Bellisseria. Be on the look out!

It seems to mesmerize its victims with stares of deadly cuteness.

The Snow Monsters of Zao ski Resort. Shot from the ropeway cablecar. This shot reminds me a bit of Alien when they walk into the spaceship around all the eggs. This is a tiltshift fake.

I only realised it when I got home (and zoomed in), that this random guy walking around in the pic was actually a photographer friend that I had just met who was staying at our lodge. Small world.

Truly amazing sight! These are trees frozen by winds from Siberia and covered in dry powder snow, giving a ghostly or monster impression as the snow piles up. Therefore the name "Snow Monsters" or Juhyo as called by the Japanese. Often things are over-hyped but to me these weren't!

Official US Government reports in recent years have confirmed the belief, common in the 1950s, that UFOs are flying around in the skies. Above I present evidence that aliens may have disembarked from a UFO and adopted Christmas disguises to in a brazen attempt to blend into the local population over the holiday season when peoples' guards are down and earthlings are feeling goodwill to all "mankind" or if you prefer our Prime Minister's politically correct wording, goodwill to "peoplekind."

Something is tapping the window at night, I caught this........

Happy Novvember! In much the same way as I redid the ADU mech, I've reduced the alien Crescent to its component parts and started again.

Once again, the big saucer pieces are integral to the build (although I'm honestly sick of them, they're so big and blocky!), along with the lime fins. I've also used some of the larger shells to round out the back of the cockpit, so all told this is a rather chonky build.

I started with the triangular-finned prongs, and from there the build continued. I do wish I had a third 16x4 wedge, as I've used two for the wings, and I think for maximum absurdity it would have been good for it to be the stabiliser too. No such luck though, so I made a more sensibly-proportioned fin.

This will be coming to Bricktastic in February, along with the rest of the ADU/alien invaders. Come say hello!

I have always wanted to experiment with modeling balloons. Very funny like being equipped with an exoskeleton. The hard light emphasize the new body shape with strong shadows. With the added insulation from the balloons and layer of air, the alien suit is quite warm. The alien therefore loses some fluid. It still has to acclimatize.

They are fine here with aliens landing in saucers, but not aliens cleaning your saucers.

As seen in Neill Blomkamp's amazing short film, "Alive in Joburg". The short is being expanded into a feature-length movie this August under the title "District 9". Please see the MOCpage for the video and more information.
