Our local photography group had an outing at our fire department. Our presenter was not only knowledgeable and passionate about what he did but was also a 2nd generation fire fighter.
After reviewing some of my images, this one reminded me of aliens.
Aliens of all races, productive and honest members of terran space!
Participate tonight to the rally to support Dr. Pogley Squidman, still awaiting justice after the brutal treatment he suffered at the hand of Space Agent O'Hare (see our original petition
Because we are people too!
The Alien Liberation Front
PS - this would be probably much funnier if racism was not such a real issue (especially round here), and if "alien" did not have the meaning it has in english.

Most of you that follow my work know that I often incorporate Alien Skin's software into my workflow. I am have become somewhat of a spokesperson for the company, write for them, and they have used my work in promotions and advertsing. I spotted this extremely bright green grasshopper in one of my summer wine bushes. The color effect was very cool, and very alien. I played with the color a bit more in Alien Skin Exposure, and got a look I really like here. It was already an "alien" looking creature, so decided to go ahead and celebrate Alien Skin software at the same time! Write to me if you ever want more info on the software.

This is the original sketch from the secret dossier from Area 51 depicting the mysterious alien.
Who is it: a living creature in an exosuit, a cyborg or a robot?
It has a humanoid shape, but the differences from human anatomy are significant. And the purpose of all those devices on its suit remains unclear.
From a sunrise shoot at Newcastle Beach, NSW, Australia.
Sometimes I image this view of these rocks as being an airborne view of the surface of an alien planet as the shapes are really intriguing.
Thanks for any views, comments or faves on any of my images!
Until I started looking back through my photos, I didn't realize that first of the rock formations in this photo was one I had named the "Native American".
That's the thing, there are so many rock formations in the Alien World, you will find something new every time you go, and find things you saw from before.
- www.kevin-palmer.com - I've been searching all over the internet, but haven't been able to identify these plants. Much of the flora on Santa Rosa Island seemed like it was from an alien planet.
I've been seeing a lot of photos from people lately that have me thinking of Alien-ish stuff, so here's one of my own. (:>)

The uber tenacious, highly invasive and therefore ubiquitous bracken, a fern that was growing well before dinosaurs romped the earth.
Close-up study of this sturdy plant species in its sprouting stage.

" Bracken (Pteridium) is a genus of large, coarse ferns in the family Dennstaedtiaceae. Ferns (Pteridophyta) are vascular plants that have alternating generations, large plants that produce spores and small plants that produce sex cells (eggs and sperm). Brackens are noted for their large, highly divided leaves. They are found on all continents except Antarctica and in all environments except deserts, though their typical habitat is moorland. The genus probably has the widest distribution of any fern in the world... " - Wiki

Shot of my NECA Aliens figures. Wanted only a couple in this shot to get more of the Hadley's Hope sign that came with the Burke/Xenomorph two pack.
I don't have much room to do these shots properly, but I enjoy doing them.
