This alien is very similar in design as the Worker Alien. The main difference is the orientation of the motorcycle chassis. By just turning it upside down you get a totally different look.
Not shown: arms and tails. These are basic droid arm connections.
Have a look at the notes for more information.
Aliens invaded my jeep. See the blog vagabondexpedition.com for more. (long exposure photo with some EL wire - amzn.to/21wts2U )

It's been a while since I've put anything up here. It's not that I haven't been drawing, it's just that I never thought to put it up until now. So here's a digital landscape of some Q-tip alien ruins, with a couple of explorers on the approach. If only it were made of LEGO.
© David K. Edwards. It pulls your head forward and briskly sucks out your eyeballs (it does something additional and cute if you are wearing glasses). Then it eats your face, devouring almost all of the skin and muscle. When finished, it emits a series of high-pitched burps that are somehow even more terrifying than its strident hunting call. In the photograph, note also the green puercoceptor organ, which curls when inactive.
Okay, not an alien attack, actually an (outflow dominant, I'd say) supercell shortly after producing several tornadoes near Slapout, Oklahoma.
Same as previous, slightly different image with a longer exposure and touched up in shop.
info: 2 guns. 430ex from front 1/2 with a softbox and another at 1/1 from above with a very long snoot. The one above was suspended with a fishing pole. Triggered with canon IR. If anyone wants to donate some pocket wizards, please feel free. The light line was created with canned smoke from behind the models head.
Made top 50 in explore on the 26th of Sept 2008

A new, more detailed digital painting based on an acrylic painting that I lost the high-res files to in 2011.
I'm waiting on a bricklink order for some wedges to arrive. I was so keen to start building the Arvo Brothers: Alien that I just went ahead. I think it was a bad idea as now I have to wait once more...ahhhh
I bought another two Alien Motherships and thought I'd have some fun combining them. Also used parts from the Tripod Invader, Fangpyre Mech and other bits and bobs.
Yes, the bottom section still spins!! Hasn't yet fallen apart as I try!

Una se despista un poco y le aparece un alien en moto. Son esas cosas que pueden pasar, simplemente hay que estar un poco atento.
Happy Novvember! In much the same way as I redid the ADU mech, I've reduced the alien Crescent to its component parts and started again.
Once again, the big saucer pieces are integral to the build (although I'm honestly sick of them, they're so big and blocky!), along with the lime fins. I've also used some of the larger shells to round out the back of the cockpit, so all told this is a rather chonky build.
I started with the triangular-finned prongs, and from there the build continued. I do wish I had a third 16x4 wedge, as I've used two for the wings, and I think for maximum absurdity it would have been good for it to be the stabiliser too. No such luck though, so I made a more sensibly-proportioned fin.
This will be coming to Bricktastic in February, along with the rest of the ADU/alien invaders. Come say hello!
