James Cameron’s action packed movie „Aliens“ and its undoubtedly far more horrific predecessor „Alien“ by Ridley Scott are two of my all time favorite movies. I’ve been building Alien-themed MOCs for quite a while now and with the availability of very versatile and unique looking Lego parts these days there has never been a wider range of possible designs.
I’ve seen many truly awesome Lego Alien creations popping up on the internet lately, which inspired me to once again come up with my very own version of the famous creature. I feel like the Xenomorph from Ridley Scott’s movie is somewhat a less popular choice when it comes to Lego adaptations, which made me want to tackle the original Alien design by H.R. Giger depicted in the 1979 film. Here is my version of the „perfect organism“.
Burnet moth that was emerging from the pupae was probably cooked by the 32° heat.. (reminded me of the film 'Alien') :)
The sun sets on an alien sky, complete with fake flare! I must add that the colours are nearly natural. I made the dark bit just a bit more purple but the rest was how I saw it.
That's why I pressed the shutter button! :-)
My LEGO version of the iconic 1979 ALIEN Xenomorph.
This has been an exceptionally challenging and and mind-expanding build. Working from references to create these organic shapes was a wholly new type of MOCing for me. I learned soooooo much during the late nights tinkering away at this guy.
Also, sorry for the delay in posting the shots of this bad boy. I had to move right after the convention and hadn't gotten a chance to photograph it. I still want to work on it further and finish up the bust ( if not the whole thing! ) someday. Again, I hope to have a REALLY pro photo setup again soon, fingers crossed for a home-loan and the perfect place to move into.
Comments and feedback much appreciated!
Something about this shot just makes me think... 'Alien'. Lol.
hurrhghgh I spent ages editing this, but alas, I'm still not very happy with it. Please someone take it and make it better for me :P

No idea what this flying object, that popped into my image, is. I only noticed it after downloading - taken while driving around this 90 km long lake.
LAGO DE CHAPALA, Jalisco, Mexico
Lake Chapala, Mexico nestled in a mountain valley just 50 minutes south of Guadalajara and 25 minutes from the international airport, is the largest inland body of water in Mexico. It is 90 km long and 20 km wide and is situated on the border between the states of Jalisco and Michoacan and approximately a 3 ½ hour drive from the Pacific ocean.
Model: Alien Egg
Designer: Xander Perrott
A bunch of my models seem to have developed a space theme so this seems like a natural development...
30 units, 1:sqrt(3) rectangles. No glue.
Alien story made for the display "Space Panic" at the french convention Brick à Dole 2017.
No display "Space Panic" without... Panic ^_^
A wink at the mythical movie monster... Alien ! Reinterpretation of some of the cult scenes of Alien movies.
Of course on this display as in space, no one can hear you scream...
Selbstportrait anlässlich der Luminale 2018 unter der Lichtduscheninstallation im Hauptbahnhof Offenbach/Main - Self-Portrait on the Luminale Festival 2018 under the Lightshower at Main-Station Offenbach/Main (Germany)
It's been a while since I uploaded as to be honest I think my stream needs a bit of a spring clean so I'm going to try and do that before adding anything new.... got lots of ideas and can't wait to get the boring stuff out the way so I can indulge in a bit of creativity! Wishing everyone a wonderful 2011, hope it gives you all plenty to smile about... :-)
My virtual fall route home has fell in October so I swung by the NOAA Table Mountain Facility and captured this alien trekking down the road from his landing site. No ordinary alien terrorist this; is that an explosive belt around his midriff. Ole Muerte lead me to believe that he may be returning. Alas poor Muerte, will he ask me to take him to the NSA? This is what interstellar radio telescopes detected? Is that an assault rifle in his hand? He surely looks like an alien!
Looking at the sky, I am sure I won't have to dodge the snow today. The TV weather panic really blew the feet of snow forecast; little detectable snow showed. In fact we have seen an inch or two on the grass. Midmorn and none was on the ground. Well, back to a temporary autumn. Thanks Koch Bros. Well, it is finally getting cooler and it is easier to sleep.
Macro shot of... something...
First of a series. Will post the rest over a couple of days, and with each one what the subject is should become clearer...
Take Aim Challenge - "Alien"
I thought the B&W treatment made this holly leaf more menacing, but had lots of fun making the colour version with the eyes !

Many tide pools are habitats of especially adaptable animals that have engaged the attention of naturalists and marine biologists, as well as philosophical essayists: John Steinbeck wrote in The Log from the Sea of Cortez, "It is advisable to look from the tide pool to the stars and then back to the tide pool."
This is the original sketch from the secret dossier from Area 51 depicting the mysterious alien.
Who is it: a living creature in an exosuit, a cyborg or a robot?
It has a humanoid shape, but the differences from human anatomy are significant. And the purpose of all those devices on its suit remains unclear.
Until I started looking back through my photos, I didn't realize that first of the rock formations in this photo was one I had named the "Native American".
That's the thing, there are so many rock formations in the Alien World, you will find something new every time you go, and find things you saw from before.
