One of favorite places in the badlands. I have been there enough times I no longer need a gps to find it.
That's a good thing, because both our gps go nuts in this area. They give you the direction, than in just seconds it reverses 180 degrees. I know that's hard to believe, but it happened. I have heard the more expensive gps don't have the problem.
ALIEN micro diorama.
It was pretty complicated to build the creature at this scale. I had to combine some of the smallest black parts I have.
If you study the large rock formation near center, you may begin to see an inverted alien emerging from the rock. This perspective is surprisingly close to the creatures from the Alien series of films. This is another of my series of which, the more you look, the more you see.

Weird stones bathing in gorgeous summer evening. Weather was warm, yet calm and top of all, mosquitos are still missing.

My build for Day 5 of vignweek, which I'm not super happy with considering the space theme was right up my alley. The original plan involved a big piece of a minifig scale dropship allowing a trooper to dive into the portals, but I couldn't execute a version I was happy with in the time frame.

I am in repair mode since I fixed Chewbacca :)
I have had this Alien for awhile. His left arm was hanging loose.
I am working with a bungee cord to put the arms back. together.
He has four screws in his back. So he can be taken apart.
I would not have done this if he wasn't screwed together !
He is still pretty tight even with out his screws. But is workable.
I had to cut his right arm band.
Feels blaspemous ! Each arm is independently connected via an O ring to a central pillar. But since I am going to the effort to fix the one side. Is only logical to do both. But the right arm O ring is still forty yrs old ! So I would rather not take it apart again. When or if it breaks.
I have not got around to getting the repro dome and fifth back spike.
But fixing his arms and a good cleaning needs to be done anyway :)
Getting this figure is a grail achieved for sure.
My first go at a mech suit. This is based on the one used in the film Aliens.

🇬🇧 This corner of New Mexico was one of the places that most impressed me on my trip to the USA in 2023, so much so that in 2024 we couldn't resist returning ️.
This is the most famous formation in this desert in the state of New Mexico. The “Alien Throne” gets its name because the main rock formation has a silhouette reminiscent of a throne carved in stone. But what really makes it stand out is its almost extraterrestrial appearance, with columns eroded and perforated by wind and rain over millennia, giving it a surreal appearance.
It is a place where you feel small, where nature reminds you of its power and beauty.
There are places that are always worth returning to, and this, without a doubt, is one of them.

Samurai Vader is back to action.
The Daimyo from a Feudal System far, far away has been informed of a threat to his dominion.
An vicious creature is on the lose intended of consuming anything it runs into.
Usual business, after all.
It doesn’t take long for Vader to locate this Alien intruder and the two warriors clash in battle.
The Alien charges but Vader Force pushes the creature away. The creature strikes back, swinging his deadly tail at his opponent but Vader ignites his Lightsaber (or Lightkatana, if you prefer) and severs part of its tail.
The alien screams in pain but it shrugs off the damage and hurls at Vader.
He quickly unsheathe his Vibro-katana and strikes at the creature’s swinging arm. The impact breaks the bone and only its exoskeleton protects it from another amputation.
The counterattack throws the alien off balance and Vader seizes the opportunity. He lashes his Lightsaber inflicting a wide wound on the creature’s chest.
The alien collapses on the ground.
Vader plunges his Lightsaber in the creature’s neck and with a swift movement he chops off its head.
The threat has been neutralized. His scientists will undergo the necessary analysis and investigation on this creature’s appearance within his dominion. He suspects something, or someone, is indeed involved in this situation but now he has other pressing matters to deal with.
His presence is required elsewhere because without his iron grip the whole dominion will fall into chaos.
Vader is the amazing Samurai Vader action figure made by Bandai. The full “designation” is Tamashii Nations Movie Realization Samurai Taisho (General) Darth Vader, Death Star Armor version, just because the name was not long enough lol :)
The Alien is a Xenomorph Warrior action figure by Neca. It is actually a version based on the Dark Horse comics and it comes it the same pack with the Predator action figure I recently posted two photos of.

This one is a photograph of plants that have been frozen by the water dripping of the house. I selected an area I was interested in and mirrored it with microsoft paint and with this one I added two fisheye filters off my phone but other wise it is a basic photograph. Often I see something but in order to get it across to others I embellish the eyes a bit to make it more showy.
