Ésta en particular me gustó, por eso la dejé sola. Parece un ser extraterrestre, de esos de cinta de joligüd, pero no... salió de la imaginación de una artista portentosa y con obra extensísima: Leonora Carrington.

With such a perpective at the jardiniere on the floor, I thought just follow the movement already given... for this image the rest came alone: closed diaphragm with a lot of depth, and a couple of post editing tasks to to emphasize the direction.

One of favorite places in the badlands. I have been there enough times I no longer need a gps to find it.
That's a good thing, because both our gps go nuts in this area. They give you the direction, than in just seconds it reverses 180 degrees. I know that's hard to believe, but it happened. I have heard the more expensive gps don't have the problem.
I read a story recently about a photographer at a Grand Canyon viewpoint running around and telling everyone to put their cameras away after the sun set. Which is crazy. But perhaps he was hoping everyone would go away and allow him to enjoy the glorious sky, alone.
So, if you want to photograph amazing skies, hang around after sunset. Don't be too quick to leave, or you may miss something truly extraordinary.

Got the big black separator few months back, but totally forgot about it. Since I read Simon's article on New Elementary about the LEGO Art The Sith set, I wanted to build something with it.
I was thinking about Space Jam and what should I build for it and the idea came almost instantly, the shape really gave me the alien vibe and here it is. Not a Space Jam entry though :D

🇬🇧 New Mexico has incredible places, unfortunately the weather was not in our favor and we could not see too many but one of the places that I liked the most was this desert, those stones shaped like broken eggs or alien eggs were really incredible, like being on another planet, we also had the great luck that the light was with us quite a lot.
When I took this photo I wanted to make it even better, I looked for two eggs that would guide me to another egg by doing a focus stacking at 12mm, after a while I realized that the sky had improved, it was very dramatic and I repeated the shot and this was the result.

An alien crawls out of a crack in "Autograph Hoodoo" along Alkali Road in the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming. A toy some one left in the hoodoo where so many have defaced it by carving names etc. Maybe the alien will protect the rock from would be vandals.

I took this photo in the spring of an ornamental cabbage in the garden. i thought it looked a little alien-like.
I am a huge sci-fi fan and each time I walk the pathways onto the upper terrace of Mammoth Hot Springs I often feel as if I am looking at the landscape of an alien planet.
The combination of dramatic skies, a travertine encrusted plateau, and some artistic license in post processing gave me this other world look. Yellowstone National Park.
