Parma besitzt eine der größten Taufkapellen der Welt aus dem 12./13. Jahrhundert. Reich mit Fresken und vielfältigen Skulpturen ausgeschmückt, steht in ihrer Mitte auch ein großes Becken, in dem im Mittelalter noch Ganzkörpertaufen von Erwachsenen vollzogen wurden.

Deze dag stond in het teken van goederenvervoer bij de RTM. Diverse stoom en diesellocs reden goederentrams of personentrams met goederenwagens. Het weer was uitstekend en de trams weer schitterend.
This day was all about freight transport at the RTM. Various steam and diesel locomotives drove freight trams or passenger trams with freight wagons. The weather was excellent and the trams were again magnificent.
Dieser Tag stand im RTM ganz im Zeichen des Gütertransports. Verschiedene Dampf- und Diesellokomotiven trieben Güterstraßenbahnen bzw. Personenstraßenbahnen mit Güterwagen an. Das Wetter war ausgezeichnet und die Straßenbahnen waren wieder wunderschön.
Aachen, Altes Rathaus (Nordseite) am Marktpolatz und Kaiserbrunnen

In der ersten Hälfte des 14. Jahrhunderts errichtete die Aachener Bürgerschaft unter Leitung ihres amtierenden Bürgermeisters Gerhard Chorus (1285–1367) als Zeichen ihrer bürgerlichen Freiheit ein neues Rathaus. Bis dahin hatte das Mitte des 13. Jahrhunderts errichtete Grashaus als Rathaus gedient. Als Zugeständnis an die römisch-deutschen Könige musste die Bürgerschaft sich allerdings verpflichten, im neuen Rathaus einen Saal für das festliche Krönungsmahl (im Anschluss an die Königskrönungen im Aachener Dom) einzurichten. Mit dem Bau wurde 1330 begonnen, wobei das Gebäude auf den Grundmauern eines verfallenen Palastbaus aus der Karolingerzeit, der Aula regia der Kaiserpfalz, errichtet wurde.
Der aus der Zeit Karls des Großen stammende Granusturm wurde übernommen und um 14 Meter aufgestockt. Auch in der Rathaussüdseite sind noch Teile des aufgehenden karolingischen Mauerwerkes vorhanden.[1] Die Fertigstellung erfolgte 1349. Bis zum Jahr 1531 fanden im so genannten Krönungssaal die Festessen anlässlich der Aachener Königskrönungen statt. Während das Rathaus als Verwaltungsgebäude und Festhaus für die Reichsfeiern diente, wurden im Granusturm Urkunden und ein Teil der städtischen Waffen und Munition untergebracht. Der Turm diente außerdem zeitweilig als Gefängnis.
Das gotische Rathaus von Aachen gilt als architektonisches Vorbild zahlreicher Rathausbauten im flämischen Raum dieser Zeit.

Aachen Town Hall (German: "Rathaus") is a landmark of cultural significance located in the Altstadt of Aachen, Germany. It was built in the Gothic architecture style in the first half of the 14th century.
Aachen Town Hall was built in the first half of the 14th century under the leadership of the mayor Gerhard Chorus (1285 – 1367). The new hall also hosted the traditional coronation feast that was part of the coronation ceremony of the Holy Roman Empire. Before that, the coronation was held at the nearby mid-13th century Grashaus which is one of the city’s oldest still-standing buildings nowadays. Construction began in 1330 on top of the foundation walls of the Aula Regia, part of the derelict Palace of Aachen, built during the Carolingian dynasty. Dating from the time of Charlemagne, the Granus Tower and masonry from that era were incorporated into the south side of the building.[1] The structure was completed in 1349, and while the town hall served as the administrative center of the city, part of the city’s munitions and weaponry was housed in the Granus Tower, which also served as a prison for some time.

Stourhead is an estate at the source of the River Stour near Mere, Wiltshire, England. The estate includes a Palladian mansion, the village of Stourton, gardens, farmland, and woodland. Stourhead has been in the ownership of the National Trust since 1946.
When Stourhead first opened in the 1740s, a magazine described it as ‘a living work of art’. The world-famous landscape garden has at its centrepiece a magnificent lake reflecting classical temples, mystical grottoes, and rare and exotic trees, and offers a day of fresh air and discovery.
Today I was able, following his screams, to find one of the four male youngsters from Humboldthain. On two of the photos the well-filled crop is visible, what is a good sign, isn´t it?
Heute fand ich, seinen Schreien folgend, einen der vier männlichen Nachwuchs-Habichte vom Humboldthain. Auf zwei der Fotos kann man den wohlgefüllten Kropf erkennen, was ein gutes Zeichen ist, oder?

Schloss Straßburg liegt auf einem Hügel über dem Gurktal in Kärnten und war früher der Sitz der Bischöfe von Gurk. Die Straßburg wurde 1147 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt und wurde von den Bischöfen von Gurk wohl als Zeichen der Unabhängigkeit gegenüber dem Salzburger Erzbischof erbaut. Ab 1783 wählten die Bischöfe von Gurk einen neuen, zeitgemäßeren Sitz und die Burg verfiel zusehends. bis sie ab den 1950er Jahren wieder instandgesetzt und teilweise neu aufgebaut wurde. Heute dient sie als Museum und als Kulturzentrum für diverse Veranstaltungen.
Strasßburg Castle is situated on a hill above the Gurk valley in Carinthia and was once the seat of the bishops of Gurk. Straßburg Castle was first mentioned in documents in 1147 and was probably built by the bishops of Gurk as a sign of independence from the Archbishop of Salzburg. From 1783, the bishops of Gurk chose a new, more contemporary seat and the castle fell into disrepair until it was repaired and partially rebuilt in the 1950s. Today it serves as a museum and cultural centre for various events.
Am Wochenende des 21. 22. und 23.04.23 stand im Zeichen der Wumme. Um Gera wurde an drei Tagen ein Fotogüterzug im Stil der Deutschen Reichsbahn der 70er Jahre gefahren.
The weekend of 21. 22. and 23.04.23 was dominated by the Wumme. A photo freight train in the style of the German Reichsbahn of the 70s was run around Gera on three days.
Il fine settimana del 21.22 e 23.04.23 è stato dominato dalla Wumme. Un treno merci fotografico nello stile della Reichsbahn tedesca degli anni '70 ha fatto il giro di Gera per tre giorni.
