With 'Blended Winglets'.
Named: "Zwaluw/Swallow".
First flown with the Boeing test registration N1787B, this aircraft was delivered to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines as PH-BXF in Jun-00. It was fitted with blended winglets in Feb-08. The aircraft was stored at Amsterdam in Apr-20 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and returned to service in early Jul20. Current, updated (Nov-20).
Note: KLM's Boeing customer code was '06', however, when they ordered the 'Next Generation' Boeing 737's they ordered them with the same specification as those ordered by Transavia. They were delivered as 'K2's. Boeing stopped using the customer codes in mid 2016 and all the 737NG's delivered since then are just -700/800/900's

The first 737 I've seen and photographed at BWI with the new winglets.
Sometimes it is nice to just stand back and ponder how you fit into this crazy thing we call life...
In this shot I was just pondering the biggest, brightest, and closest auroral arc I've ever seen...and within 5 minutes after I took this shot the sky simply exploded into a display which left us all stunned...
Hecla Island, Manitoba, Canada. Early on October 11, 2017.

A summer thunderstorm is crackling with lightning as the sunset illuminates the scene...meanwhile the CN Oshkosh drawbridge is open with no trains in the vicinity. New edit with a different style in the update.

Boeing announced today a new winglet design concept for the 737 MAX. The new Advanced Technology winglet will provide MAX customers with up to an additional 1.5 percent fuel-burn improvement, depending on range, on top of the 10-12 percent improvement already offered on the new-engine variant.
Pictured here is an artist’s rendering of a 737 MAX 8 with new Advanced Technology winglets. This rendering is updated to reflect design decisions made since the launch of the program in August 2011.

This is my entry to the EuroBricks Benny's Spaceships Building Academy contest.
Benny started with Mining Truck (4202) and modified the cabin, added a bank of thrusters, replaced the fuel tank, added a deep space comms satellite and winglets (just because he could).
While not the most streamlined spaceship that Benny has ever built, it makes up for it in the amount of thrust it puts out!

Found myself on a back road along a ridge top east of Tigerton, WI...stopped and watched the show for a while. A bunch of deer kept me company and the owls were hooting away as the lights danced...
The clouds you can see along the bottom eventually shut me down for the night, but it was sweet while it lasted. Taken very early on September 1, 2016...
