Operated for Thomson Airways by Sunwing Airlines for the 2014 summer season in full Sunwing livery and based in Belfast (BFS). Recently fitted with new 'Split Scimitar Winglets'.
First flown with the Boeing test registration N1786B, this aircraft was delivered to Boullioun Aviation Services and leased to Sterling European Airlines as OY-SEK in Feb-04, 'Blended Winglets' were added in early 2008.
Sterling European ceased operations in late Oct-08. The aircraft was returned to the lessor at stored at Copenhagen, Denmark. In Dec-08 it was transferred to the US register as N292AG and was ferried to Atlanta, GA, USA for further storage.
In Feb-09 it was leased to Sunwing Airlines as C-FEAK and in May-09 it was sub-leased to Viking Airlines (UK) for the summer season, returning to Sunwing in Oct-09. The same sub-lease to Viking Airlines was repeated in Jun-10 although the lease was terminated early, in Aug-10, due to the collapse of one of Viking's major tour operators.
'Split Scimitar' winglets were added in Feb-14. In May-14 the aircraft was sub-leased to Thomson Airways (UK) for the summer, returning to Sunwing in Oct-14. This sub-lease to Thomson Airways was repeated between May/Oct-15, May/Oct-16 and May/Oct-17.
Thomson Airways was renamed TUI Airways UK in Oct-17 and Sunwing leased the aircraft to them again between May/Nov-18. It was returned to the lessor in Apr-19 and leased to SkyUp Airlines (Ukraine) as UR-SQH a few days later.
When Russia invaded Ukraine in Feb-22 the aircraft was evacuated and initially parked at Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt. It was wet-leased to FreeBird Airlines (Turkiye) for the summer season between May/Oct-22 and operated services for Fly One Airlines (Moldova) and Air Moldova between Oct-22/Jan-23.
The aircraft was wet-leased to Sun Air (Sudan) a few days later. Sadly, on 15-Apr-23 the aircraft was destroyed on the ramp at Khartoum Airport during an attempted Coup d'etat by Sudan's 'Rapid Support Force' against the Sudanese Army. Updated 17-Apr-23.
Seen arriving Oshkosh, WI as part of the 2016 Wisconsin Special Olympics Truck Convoy. Always a great event!!

Winglet of Thomas Cook Airlines Boeing 767-31K(ER)(WL) G-TCCB which is taxiing towards Terminal 1 in Frankfurt.
c/n 28865 (l/n 657) has had its first flight on 21.04.97 and was delivered to Airtours International Airways as G-DIMB on 28.04.97. It was leased to Garuda Indonesia from 12.01.02 to 26.03.02. On 01.05.02 it was transferred to MyTravel. It was leased to Garuda Indonesia from 05.01.03 to 16.03.03, from 26.12.03 to 06.03.04 and from 13.12.04 to 24.02.05, to Monarch Airlines from 28.04.05 to 18.03.10 and was transferred to Thomas Cook Airlines with the current registration. It was again leased to Garuda Indonesia from 29.09.11 to 11.12.11 and from 17.09.12 to 30.11.12.
The jet is powered by 2x General Electric CF6-80C2B7F turbofans and has a cabin layout with 326 Economy Class seats.

One more from the storm on May 8.....had some absolutely HUGE pillars. At one point they went from the horizon to almost directly overhead.

Both of these MOCs weigh about the same despite the size difference, the Direwolf is mostly hollow and the Marauder is pretty dense

A major step forward in aerodynamic improvements will be the introduction of “Sharklets” beginning with A320ceo (current engine option) Family aircraft, which will add over 100 nautical miles in range, increase payload by more than 500 kg. and improve takeoff performance. These wingtip devices will offer a more than 3.5 per cent overall fuel burn savings on long sectors and are to result in up to two per cent lower engine maintenance costs due to the lower thrust required when Sharklets are installed.
Sharklets took to the sky for the first time in November 2011 with a successful five-hour maiden flight from Toulouse, France using Airbus’ in-house A320 development aircraft.
