i dont know why I bounce

can you tell me what to do in order not to bounce.

I have tried to get to the runway a little faster and it wont help and also tried to flare more

On April 3, 2014, I saw this KLM Boeing 747-400 on final approach to runway 25L at LAX minus the port side winglet. I wonder how often these winglets are lost mid-flight, and whether there are any problems flying in this condition?
