To me, a shot can be so much more fun when you play with the depth of field.

A break from the Olympic Stadium with another capture of the newly opened cube berlin located next to the Berliner Hauptbahnhof (central station). From this point of view the cube looks huge, almost like "bam, straight in-your-face!", as if it were dominating every single building there, the Hauptbahnhof included. But actually it isn't that huge and complements the architecture there in a very pleasing way. When you zoom in you can see quite many martlets above the cube's roof and also next

to the building. The martlets were there before the first tenants moved in, I'm sure they think it's their very own building ;-)

Happy Window Wednesday, Everyone!

Casa Benevidez Restaurant, 4th St. Albuquerque. They serve the best red and green chile here!

Streets of the center of the city ( Porto, Portugal ) preserving its characteristic color and style!

A gull flies past a window featuring colorful shutters and ornate decorative grillwork at the Bavarian Inn, a popular restaurant and lodge in Frankenmuth, Michigan.

Flickr friends, I am happy to be back following a break, and this shot taken last June seemed like a good candidate for both Wing Wednesday and Window Wednesday. I will likely be on and off for a while yet, but on days that I post, I'll do my best to check in on your latest images.

HWW

Seems like we spend so much time rushing into things that the occasional pause becomes sacred. Loved capturing this moment with my littlest little.

This is the Easy Tiger on East 6th Street, here in Austin. This place is great. When you walk in this door, you're in the bakery. Go down the stairs and you're in the Beer Garden. I know! It's a strange combination but it works. The food is mostly German, or what we call German. In the Beer Garden they have 3 ping pong table, which is probably why I like..;)

How many like the latest update from Microsoft? I'm not a big fan. Mainly because I just hate relearning something. Guess I should be use to it. My job changes everything about every 6 months, drives everyone crazy..:)

So, I'm doing Chemo every Tuesday and Radiation every afternoon. Can't say I don't know how to have a good time.

The Ex wife being here didn't work out. My daughter was the only one that thought that would work and we both played along.

I don't know about you but there are days I'm out driving places and I just don't want to stop. Maybe it is the inability to travel, the desire to escape the daily grind, or the longing for adventure. Whatever the reason, the one thing I do know with certainty is I can't wait for the next opportunity to leave this town. Promise....I won't just randomly leave, I would definitely go home and grab the family and some roadtrip snacks first! :-)

Anyhow....this is a little window found on my last road trip that briefly landed me on a quiet beach on Random Island.

Not a lot of things to say about this photo. As a photographer, geometry is something that I am always looking for and when I visited Westfield Horton Plaza, an almost deserted outdoor Mall right in the heart of San Diego's Gaslamp neighborhood, i think i found it! i wished it was slightly less sunny so I can get more vibrant colors but I guess they call it "Sunny California" for a reason! HWW everybody! Stay safe!

Happy Window Wednesday!

HWW!!

Stevie Lew's, 5340 TX-35, Rockport, TX is a family run business. If you work there, you're family. I found this place while I was killing time waiting to check into my motel room. Stevie is just a little younger than me, so I got his attention after the rush slowed down and he came over to my table and I asked him if he could think of anything that would make a good photo. Can you believe it, he's a photographer..:) What are the odds. Anyway, he starting telling me different locations where I could get some great shots, and the best time of day to go. Blew me away. I went by his place around 5am to get this night shot. I posted it on google and it comes up when you google Stevie's place.

Miss Ashlie up on the side windows that were supposed to be replaced the day before. More contractor nightmares for me ... anyway, Happy Window Wednesdays!

It is possible I might put it into Sliders Sunday also. For now though, it is Window Wednesday.

Happy Window Wednesday

Happy Window Wednesday!!

HWW!!

I shot this one waiting for the symphony to start. All that rain washed the dirt and dust off of everything. I started to add some clouds, but I'm kinda tired of clouds right now..;))

Another wonky little shed. I need to get over my obsession with straight lines because thats going to make me crazy. Nothing around here is level or perfect. And maybe thats what I love about it...until I get to post processing. I'll try to get out my head now and go back to my love of random and wonky.

Muchas, muchas gracias por sus visitas, favs y comentarios :)

Façade of the monument-protected Shell-Haus (Shell House) located on the bank of the Landwehrkanal in Berlin's Tiergarten district.

As the name suggests, Shell-Haus had been originally built as the Berlin headquarters of the Hamburg-based mineral oil company Rhenania-Ossag, a Royal Dutch Shell subsidiary (from 1947: Deutsche Shell AG). The five to ten storey office building with its striking wave-like façade – which German architect Meinhard von Gerkan has called "the most beautiful building of Berlin" – had been designed by German architect Emil Fahrenkamp and was built between 1930 and 1932.

After WW II, Shell-Haus was used as headquarters for the Berlin power supply company Bewag which also had the building restored true to the original from 1997 to 2000. The elaborate restoration work (for instance, in order to obtain the original travertine rock for the building's façade, the Longarina quarry near Rome had to be re-opened) was awarded the Berlin monument preservation prize, the Ferdinand von Quast Medal, in 2000. From 2000 to 2012, the Gasag (a Berlin gas supply company) moved in, and since 2012, Shell-Haus houses an outpost section of the German Federal Ministry of Defence.

Happy Window Wednesday, Everyone!

Like flowers on a windowsill, I don't need to climb Mt. Everest, experience the Northern Lights or visit the Twelve Apostles. Though that would be nice HWW!

THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FAVES

ON THE REACTIONS I WILL TRY TO RESPOND BACK

Two for the price of one. It looks like this may have been a house with a separate kitchen attached by a breezeway. There is a chimney in both buildings. If that is the case, it would probably be very old. I guess it could be a separate bedroom. Any ideas?

It has a great rusty tin roof. There is even some glass in the windows for HWW. It also has some nice vines which will give the place some color when the leaves come out.
