Happy Window Wednesday! HWW! Is it just me or do you see a large face in that window?

This was the sight yesterday morning when I lifted the shade in an upstairs window! I couldn't paint something like this if I tried!

Posted for Window Wednesday.

I saw this old deserted building on the way into Palm Canyon. I have no idea what it was used for before, but the roof was falling apart and some of the adobe bricks were piled up inside, and as you can see, no window panes remained. There has to be a story behind this - any takers?

I imagine someone standing here watching their loved one head out to sea. A precarious livelihood. I wonder if you ever stop worrying or anxiously waiting to hear those familiar footsteps.

(Little Talks- 2)

Drab weather around and it's rained all night and has not stopped. Miserable out.

This guy was half way up a lighthouse touching up the paint on the exterior. The lighthouse no longer operates as an official lighthouse but it is being restored as a museum and a place to stay for the night. You can see the curtains on the window of one of the two rooms rented out during tourist season. We stayed in a cozy room at the Inn which is attached to the lighthouse. Maybe one day we will try sleeping in the actual lighthouse. 😊 It was great to see the owners were keeping up with the maintenance on this lovely spot on the most westerly part of PEI. Happy Window Wednesday!

I have only been here once but hope to return again soon. I was so taken by the beautiful art and colour. I so loved it.

Happy Window Wednesday

Just another in a series of window shot yin Hamilton ON. We can always look out of them safely. Not supposed to be out and about and looking in.

Happy Window Wednesday

Portrait in natural light of our Miley. We got her a new Kitty Condo for Christmas and she didn't take to it at first. Now she starts all her days by the window in the warm morning sun watching the birds fly about.

I will return next weekend to resume commenting on your always wonderful photos. Eye surgery is limiting my time on the computer.

It’s amazing how there a few stragglers in the leaves on this almost bare tree, despite the winds and snow squalls we have had in the past few weeks. Sometimes it’s just hard to let go.

A lot of the windows at the Rail Yards have been smashed but there's still plenty left in original condition. It's almost Friday! HWW!

Happy Window Wednesday!

This is the main bedroom at the B&B (there is also a bedroom area up on the second floor loft). The bucolic view through the window shows the Shenandoah River's North Fork as it flows by the property. It's quite a setting for a getaway.

A beautiful window reflecting part of the historic building across the street. I love the colonial-style pediment and the contrast with the old red brick wall.

On/Off - Thank you very much for your visit and taking the time to comment! Much appreciated!

If I were to go to Paris, I'd love to have a room like this one.

The creeper is commonly called queen of the night. The flowers are delicate and fragrant. Older houses in India have huge gardens and large patios. The patios have windows with iron grills with different patterns. The queen of the night is one of the common choices for a patio widow. As the sun goes down you can smell the sweet fragrance of these tiny white flowers in the air, it is subtle and yet leaves you wanting for more. It is quite magical!!

This is the rebuilt train station in Caledonia ON. I have not been here for sometime. It was nicely redone.
