Decided to fill the frame with part of the building where the shapes looked interesting rather than massively crop - on the grounds that we can imagine the rest.

Lone Rider....

Early In November the weather was glorious, sunny and warm uncharacteristically so for November, the mercury hit 22 degrees Celsius; that's almost 73 F for my american friends.

We found ourselves on the caledon trailway which runs east and west across the lower Caledon highlands.

The Trailway is popular with cyclists and hikers alike. the traliway extends for over 35 kilometers starting just north of Schomberg and ends just east of Inglewood, the trail follows the path of a former CN rail line, originally built in 1877 by the Hamilton & North Western Railway. It was the first officially-designated part of the Trans Canada Trail (now called The Great Trail).

A break from Canada.... (still loads more to come)

This one was a lot closer to home though..

On Sunday evening, our Church held an outdoor service at a local park, and afterwards I took a walk down to the side of the lake and unto the pier.

I thought this one turned out quite nice :)

I hope you're all having a wonderful week.. We had a deluge of rain yesterday, but the sun is out again today, so I'm smiling :)

Thank you for checking out my work and for all the lovely comments on yesterday's Duffey Lake photo :)

Snowy Staircase..

In early February after a significant winter storm we made our way to Heart Lake and spent a few hours braving the cold to get some shots.

The stairs from the lake to the upper park were completely covered in a think wet blanket of white snow.

beach walk ... the wooden remnants reminded me of an ancient castle or a rocky island ... with a bit of fantasy ;-) ... I was wondering whether people put it up or whether it was a result of the natural working of the elements.

I like the convenience of this smartphone with its three lenses and in camera processing... amazing how far technology got . It still isn't the quality of a real camera. Got a bit lazy ;-)

Tunnel Vision..

Wednesday morning Karen and I made our way to the park to get some fabulous fall shots.

At the southern most entrance to the park there is a underpass that allows access without crossing the parkway.

Karen had got a bit ahead of me as i was photographing some of the graffiti, I managed to catch her just before she exited the tunnel..

Shelter On a Cold Windy Tuesday ...

Tuesday was a strange day, as the last week has been unseasonably warm and sunny; Tuesday was cold and windy, with thick rain clouds threatening us from above.

We found ourselves at Island Lake In Orangeville hiking the well groomed trails that surround the lake.

At the northern edge of the park are perfectly planted rows of pine trees. that are carefully groomed and maintained beautifully. I had some fun with the Motion Blur tool on this shot.

“Just look at us. Everything is backwards. Everything is upside down. Doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the major media destroy information, and religion destroys spirituality."

Historic Montgomery's inn....

This is a shot from the archives. A trio to Etobicoke to visit Historic Montgomery's inn situated on the corner of Dundas and Islington...This old world building with such charm; sits in the middle of suburbia The city grew around it and enveloped it, now it is stranded in the midst of urban sprawl.

Impending Storm...

The sun was diffused by some pretty thick cloud coverage; there were gaps in the sky that allowed the sun to spill its glorious light all over the landscape. the firmament was a translucent blue with patches of white and grey mixed in for effect.
