The Rock Face....
Yesterday was our first trip to Hilton Falls in over a year. we clambered our way through the unmarked trails, along the mostly rock and tree covered section towards the fire pit.
stopping occasionally to take photos. this shot is made up of five images all painstakingly stitched together to make this one image.

So I went down a bit further and found this beautiful trail. As I walked by the people that were walking back up, all of them were huffing and puffing. It was a bit tiring for sure, but it was all worth it!
The people you see down below looked like little ants in one of those ant hill 😁.
Have a great Wednesday my friends!

A Gathering Of Gulls....
This morning the skies were filled with impending rain, hundreds of seagulls effortlessly floating on the invisible currents dotting the horizon as they drifted this way and that. Soon a pale pink hue appeared as the early morning sun tried desperately to break through the thick clouds that had dominated the night sky... but within minutes of taking this shot it began to rain the sun disappeared behind the bulging sky overhead.

The Lush Green Forest....
the lush green canopy f the forest glowed in the evening sun. the branches of the vine
entwined the tree and found purchase with it becoming one with the tree.
A shaft of light bathed the forest floor with a velvety emerald glow .

Through The Tree Tops...
A heavy snow fell Saturday night covering everything with a thick layer of fresh fluffy white snow. We got up early and headed to the park where we found ourselves in a scene from the movie Narnia; snow was falling from the branches above every time the wind blew. at times it was as if it was still snowing... with so much snow falling from the heavy laden branches overhead.
If you look straight up, you can see the sun blasting through the s=now covered trees.

Brant Street Pier...
From the archives.
A few years back we took a day trip from Mississauga following the Lake shore all the way through Oakville and into Burlington taking shots of the things we would find along the way. We took this shot on the Brant Street Pier in Burlington.

Make Out Point...
From The Archives;
This shot at Major Oaks Park in May of 2017 is a composite of two photos and some additional creative artwork. (adding the couple in the car). Major Oaks has long been the make out point for young lovers in Brampton; its slightly secluded and unused quality made it perfect for taking that special girl to get away from prying eyes .

Beach Walk......
This shot of an extremely overcast day last week at Jack Darling Park; the sky was brooding and rain was in the forecast. the daylight was strained through the heavy cloud cover, giving everything a dull muted tone and making the blue highlights in the clouds cast a moody glow on the entire scene. A nice day for a long walk along the beach stepping over rocks and washed up pieces of driftwood..

Home United Church...
Last night we hopped in the car just before dusk and chased a golden sunset across farmers fields and down rural roads... it flitted behind thick dark clouds and blasted through thin wispy ones. till it fell just beyond the horizon out of reach of my camera lens. It was the crowning glory to an outstanding spring day.
As we drove by Home united church on the corner of Creditview and Mayfield Rd the sun illuminated the intersection in a swath of golden yellow haze.
The history of the church in this community dates from the year 1829. ln the early pioneer days the Counties of Peel and York were known as the Home District; hence the name of the place of worship in this area from early days received the name of Home Church. A Scotchman from Alloa in Scotland, who built a saw mill on the farm where this present church stands, named the little settlement Alloa, after his home-town. There was also a post-office in a store, a butcher shop, a slaughter house, a blacksmith and carriage shop, 2 hotels and several dwellings. (Excerpt from www.homeunitedchurch.ca/about/history.html

This weekend will be rainy again in Vancouver.
It was the same gloomy day when I arrived at Moraine Lake during my vacation to Canadian Rockies in 2011.
The scene was not spectacular due to the lack of light but it reminds me the song "Raindrops keep falling on my head"! :o(
Wish all of you a great sunny weekend!
If you are interested to see my other Canadian Rockies pictures, please check out my set on the Rockies trip in 2011.
