Summer morning with some night rain, and still cloudy, the bathing jetty close to home, Lake Starnberg Südbad. Still very empty, jetty more or less dry no swimmers yet.
Feel free to leave comments and constructive feedback. No P1/C1 or seen in group and similar.
This photo was taken in a field near a small village in Germany. The photo was taken with an Olympus OMD EM 10 and a Olympus Wide Angle Lens.
Scarecrows In The Forest..
Friday morning Karen and I made our way to the park to get some fabulous fall shots.
At a point along the south trail someone had set up a bunch of scarecrows just for fun.

Early Morning Sunrise...
The early bird gets the worm, if that is true i should go fishing... up at 4;55 am and out to capture this outstanding sunrise. i was gobsmacked by the beauty of the golden hue and baby blue clouds before my eyes.

The English Daisies or often called the Common Daisies are in full bloom at fields on Vancouver Island, these are in a park about a 10 minute walk from where I live in Esquimalt BC Canada. These grow wild in the fields and are always one of my favourite flowers at this time of the year. I read that these daisies are found worldwide.
The summit of Caisteal Abhail looking across to Cir Mhor, Goatfell and Beinn Tarsuinn. I always believed that the view from the top of Goatfell was unmatched. Now I'm not so sure.
Taken in the same beautiful area that the last several images were taken. I think I like this composition better then the last, but I really liked the sunburst! You'll see these words written on just about every kind of merchandise here. But I couldn't come up with a better title.
Clouds over the well known cheese farm at The Zaanse Schans. This time with a lot of clouds for a different mood and still water for some nice reflections.
Toronto Flat Iron Building...
There are a few of these scattered across the world. one is in our very own Toronto. The Toronto Flatiron Building was built in 1891 and is one of the most photographed buildings in Toronto. It was purchased from the Goodenham family who were in the distillery business and owned Gooderham and Worts Distillery.
It was designed by architect David Roberts and its unique shape makes it the first flatiron building preceding the Flatiron building in New York. This red brick Gothic Romanesque landmark is located in downtown Toronto at the intersection of Front st. Wellington St. and Church Street. The Flatiron building had the first manually operated elevator in the city.
In 1975 the Flatiron building was declared a National Historic Site. It is now owned by Michael and Anne Tippin. They bought the building in 1998 and made major restorations. At the back of the building a mural is painted by Canadian artist Derek Besant which is a mirror image of the building across the street.

A different angle from Maligne Lake and Spirit Island, Jasper.
My best friend saw this picture and told me it was the best one I had... So I've taken him at his word and posted it LOL
I hope you like it too :)
Our cruise on Maligne Lake started off very dull and the rain was falling quite heavily at the start, but by the time we'd reached our destination, it had stopped and the water was beautifully still...
I spotted the canoe/kayak coming across the water and waited for a minute until I took this. I really like that it looks like the kind of picture I'd want on my wall. And that might just be where this one goes!!!
I hope you all have a great Wednesday - we have a public holiday here in Northern Ireland today, so although that means I'm not going to work, it does mean I have some housework to catch up on! lol
Thank you for the wonderful compliments on yesterday's Maligne Lake photo and all the your encouragement on my stream :)
Happy Fence Friday everyone - another glorious sunny bright photograph depicting the Scottish Landscape :)
I'm not entirely sure where this was taken, I'll have to check my notes, judging by the time, we were probably heading back to our hotel, so somewhere in the Dalmally area :)
Well, we've all made it to Friday, weekend is upon us, hope you've all had a great week and I'd like to thank you for visiting my stream and leaving such kind comments. I'm glad I've got back into Flickr again, I missed you guys :) :) :)
Have a great day :)
This was one of my favorite shots from my recent trip to the Udvar-Hazy Center, a branch of the National Air and Space Museum in Chantilly, Virginia. The frame centers on the engines of the Space Shuttle Discovery. These engines were so successful in the space shuttle program, NASA will be using the same designs for their Space Launch System (SLS), the successor to the now retired space shuttle.
Using an ultra-wide lens, I was able to capture not only the symmetry of the shuttle's design but the symmetry of the hangar that this giant now resides in. The lighting beneath the shuttle adds a dramatic flair making this an awesome subject to shoot!
A Golden Hour storm rushes inland over Ocean Beach Road, Strahan on Tasmania's West Coast.
Another from the 2014 archives - a mystery why I never did anything with this frame. I remember driving out towards Ocean Beach and watching the sky get heavier and heavier - this shot was a spur of the moment - stop and shoot then zoom off to the beach anticipating there would be some not inconsiderable drama at the shore. I guess I was later distracted by the drama on the beach, just beyond the bend...

We Were Here...
September 2020 we took a day trip to Collingwood Ontario to get a few shots of the harbor and surrounding area. While there we spotted this large stone structure of an Inuit Inukshuk. Inukshuk means "in the likeness of man" and would be erected on hunting trails and other important locations in the tundra's of the NWT and the Yukon by Inuit hunters to serve as a landmark and a way of letting others know, that they were there and the path home was nearby. a sign of hope for those who are lost .
The Collingwood Inukshuk was erected in memorial to Pete Crompton a young man who died in a boating accident in 2003. you can read all about the Collingwood Inuksuk and the story behind it here. .
