Brant Street Pier...
From the archives.
A few years back we took a day trip from Mississauga following the Lake shore all the way through Oakville and into Burlington taking shots of the things we would find along the way. We took this shot on the Brant Street Pier in Burlington.

Make Out Point...
From The Archives;
This shot at Major Oaks Park in May of 2017 is a composite of two photos and some additional creative artwork. (adding the couple in the car). Major Oaks has long been the make out point for young lovers in Brampton; its slightly secluded and unused quality made it perfect for taking that special girl to get away from prying eyes .

Home United Church...
Last night we hopped in the car just before dusk and chased a golden sunset across farmers fields and down rural roads... it flitted behind thick dark clouds and blasted through thin wispy ones. till it fell just beyond the horizon out of reach of my camera lens. It was the crowning glory to an outstanding spring day.
As we drove by Home united church on the corner of Creditview and Mayfield Rd the sun illuminated the intersection in a swath of golden yellow haze.
The history of the church in this community dates from the year 1829. ln the early pioneer days the Counties of Peel and York were known as the Home District; hence the name of the place of worship in this area from early days received the name of Home Church. A Scotchman from Alloa in Scotland, who built a saw mill on the farm where this present church stands, named the little settlement Alloa, after his home-town. There was also a post-office in a store, a butcher shop, a slaughter house, a blacksmith and carriage shop, 2 hotels and several dwellings. (Excerpt from www.homeunitedchurch.ca/about/history.html

This weekend will be rainy again in Vancouver.
It was the same gloomy day when I arrived at Moraine Lake during my vacation to Canadian Rockies in 2011.
The scene was not spectacular due to the lack of light but it reminds me the song "Raindrops keep falling on my head"! :o(
Wish all of you a great sunny weekend!
If you are interested to see my other Canadian Rockies pictures, please check out my set on the Rockies trip in 2011.
Indian summer , this photo was taken in a field near a small village in Germany. The photo was taken with an Olympus OMD EM 10 and a Olympus Wide Angle Lens.
Corral near Delamar Valley, Nevada. Open range grazing is common in the American West and these corrals are found in just about every valley that has public land. Iāve taken more than one bath in a water filled tank on a hot summers day. Shot with a Nikon F3 and a 24mm f2.6 Nikkor lens. Film was Arista Edu 100 bull loaded and developed using Stand processing in Rodinal.
1920's Home..
Last week we went for a walk downtown Brampton to get a few shots of some of the older buildings in town.
This is one of the many historic homes in downtown Brampton built in the early 1900's. many have been fully restored and repurposed by the new owners.

The Bell UH-1D was one of the most popular helicopters of the sixties and seventies. It was a spacy multi purpose vehicle with a broad spectrum of possibilities. Although it gained a sad notoriety during the Vietnam war, it also served worldwide for civilian applications as well. This one here was on duty for a long period as a SAS helicopter for emergency interventions. in Germany.

Fast Moving Water...
Karen and I took a day trip to The Forks of the Credit River in beautiful Caledon. It was a lovely day for a photo hike. the sun was brilliant and the temperature was slightly above freezing.
This is a long exposure of the river racing by us.

This is the second of several images I will post of this amazing cosmic show...
Like thousands of other photographers and sky lovers around the world, I spent a couple hours the other night watching and capturing one of nature's most glorious phenomenon.
From 1am until 3am I shot 81 images. The location I chose to shoot from was the rock shelf of North Point, along the shores of our city, Sheboygan, Wisconsin. You can see some of the rock ledges here in the foreground. This is looking northeastward, and the lights you see on the horizon is the city of Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
The lights were fairly faint to the natural eye, but long exposures really brought out the colors and light.
And what a show it was! It had just rained two hours before so I expected that the cloud cover would hide the colors and light of the aurora borealis. Fortunately, the clouds dissipated for a couple of hours, allowing for some great images. And even when the clouds rolled back in, it made for some dramatic captures.
This is my first experience of seeing this natural wonder and I was not disappointed. I'm a bird and nature photographer, not a night sky photographer, so I had low expectations as I went out, but hoped I'd get lucky. Thankfully, it all worked out very well and I came away with some nice images and with a renewed awe for nature and God's amazing creation.
Enjoy the show with me!
This is right next to the Chapel of the Holy Cross! It was a beautiful day, very cool but a bit breezy, and I could sit here all day long.
Have a great day my friends!

Autumn Cycling...
in Heart Lake the fall colours have begun their spectacular display of brilliantly coloured leaves and are in full colour change.
The water was motionless and still, reflecting the colours of autumn like an old glass mirror. Suddenly several cyclists rode by making this once tranquil scene look busy.

Against The Wind.......
A sudden unexpected snowstorm hit Brampton last night and left everything covered in snow. the groundhog was wrong again. in like a lamb out like a lion. well this time it is in like a lion out like a lamb i guess.
As usual i took advantage of the situation and got out for a few shots. It was absolutely gorgeous out ,except the snow was very heavy and wet and a little too slippery; which made me take each step intentionally so i wouldn't end up going for a fall.
in this panoramic shot i captured a solitary soul head down and face into the wind. bravely making his way across the open field hurrying for shelter of the pathway that leads south between our subdivision and the park.

Another archive one....
We don't have the same bluebell forests that some of you in England get to visit, but Portglenone Forest Park in County Antrim has a pretty great offering... This shot (from last year) might not showcase the bluebells just as much as I'd have liked, but it was the sunlight in this one that appealed more š
Hope you like it too šš
Following the aftermath of yesterday's tragic circumstances in Westminter, my heart goes out to those affected and trust that somehow they will find a way to deal/cope with their loss š¢
Thank you all for your kind and generous comments on my previous uploads ššš
