Soft summer night on Coronado.... pretty on black. People waiting for the water taxi...

While driving about in the countryside recently, I happened upon...

While lately, things don't seem the same, no, it wasn't in my brain.

Was he really a country singer?

I've been tagged by Cindy...

To join the Flickr Celebs group. and join the fun.... in answering the following few questions... I was quite excited at being included too.... %-)

(Cindy took this photo of me when we were in Hollywood.. for some reason I wasn't able to find 'MY' star.... I see that Stezzer found HIS though!)

*Fish and Honey!

4. What is your favourite drink ?

*I think I could do with a new tie... My Red one is getting a bit worn!

6. What is your favourite all-time album

* Talking Heads 'Stop Making Sense' - I like to do my jazzercise workouts to it... It really gets me going!

*Toy Story. Buzz and Woody are my good pals! I've even got my own Buzz Lightyear suit! I'm hoping to get a cameo in their next movie!

*Loyal - Caring - Thoughtful - Protective - 'Larger Than Life'

Taken for the RPS "Bleeding London" Project. As part of this project I decided to set myself my own

challenge and project to photograph every street in the Square Mile- progress can be followed at bleedinglondoncity.blogspot.co.uk/

Had a fab day with this theme. Lots of ideas, some of which came off and some didn't.

Decided this was my best of the ideas - a bunch of over 100 matches lighting up together to mimic the amazing London 2012 Olympic flame.

I hope you've all enjoyed the Olympics as much as I have.

The 365: The 2025 Edition group has chosen Memories as the theme for week 32.

* Wright Morris "In Our Image" 1978 Quoted in "The Photography Reader" Ed. Liz Wells 2003

Summer is far from over as the seasons fly but as the calendar reads, for many the summer swan song sounds. The call of the waves will have to fade for now so that the call of responsibility can be heard. Yes, that low moaning cry that comes from the far away city is calling. You know though that the memories, as all good memories of summer and vacations, will never fade away. They'll live in a jar of shells, a couple of sticks of driftwood, and a t shirt that says, "Life is a Beach!".

But oh I will still have these images, images of the beautiful, beautiful ocean. We miss living near coast. Perhaps we can move back again some day. Ah well...life is indeed a beach!

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer.

Went to IKEA Canton yesterday. I love that place! Everything is so cool and the set up is awesome. We were in the childrens' section and I just had to photograph this wall of lights. I always love seeing it. It's so colorful and whimsical. I was wishing I had my XSi with me, or at least my S3is. Oh well... my blackberry had to do. Of course... I can't leave things alone so I slapped on a polaroid frame on this over at picnik.

This is what most Sundays look like in my world these days. They are my new favorite day of the week. Because the early part of Sundays is spent huffing my way along the New England seacoast on long training runs, the latter half of my Sundays are spent bathing in salt, icing my legs, reading magazines, napping and eating my face off. I've decided that my favorite part of marathon training is the pizza and beer.

This was back in early August, when I was still suffering from painful shin splints and 7 miles still felt like an inhuman distance to run, which is funny when you plan on running 19.2 more of them. The re-introduction of regular yoga has fixed the shin issue and now 7 miles feels short. Thank heavens.

Posh ain't it?

A fine evening to stroll along the Thames-side in the Gardens of Phyllis Court.

Week 32

This weeks theme is "Olympic Spirit"

What does the Olympic Spirit mean to you?

First I planed a photo of the olympic rings with donuts.

But then ...

When I was a child we just had 2 TV-Channels.

And when there where olympic games there was no tv for childs ... Only olympics ... So I learned to hate the olympic games.

What does the Olympic Spirit mean to you? - Turn off the TV!

Also, was bedeutet der olympische Geist für mich?

TV ausschalten!

A true classic, my single strand of pearls. The heirloom pearls were given to me many years ago by my Father-in-law. They were his Mother’s treasure from when she was a young woman. She passed away in the 1970’s and she was over 90 years old. The pearls are tucked away in an antique double heart sterling silver necklace box lined with red velvet.

I wrote in my journal ~ First night in New Zealand we had supper at the Fish Wharf at Whakatane, and stayed overnight on the beach at Ohope. Next morning I was awake before 5, so crept out without waking anyone and went walking on the beach

for two and a half hours. Wonderful! The ocean water was warm. I saw red-billed gulls, and black-backed gulls.

Wikipedia has this to say ~ Ōhope Beach is a beach in the eastern Bay of Plenty, on the northeast

coast of the North Island of New Zealand, six kilometres east and over the hill, from Whakatane.

The Ohope Beach website is enthusiastic ~ Ohope Beach is simply New Zealand's

best beach. And I guess that makes it one of the best places to be in the World.

Uggg! I would have liked to have fixed this better, but between the rain, giant mosquito swarm attack, and my Photoshop being only halfway compatible with windows 10, I guess this is as good as it gets. I am seriously thinking about going back to my old windows
