Today was a much sunnier day but there was no wind. Had a go at long exposure but it didn't really work so waited till sunset time. There was an awkward bank of cloud in the west so I went to Peel and this is the result. Its a 30 second exposure as a car came round the corner by the Castle and a boat sailed into the inner harbour.
The theme for week 32 is long exposure. Thought I'd try for a sunset and the sea but the sunset was not to be as the clouds came rolling in late in the afternoon. Was going to have another go today but again the clouds were too thick. The long exposure did not benefit the sky at all so I cropped most of it out. There was a little breeze and hence some waves but unfortunately not really enough to enhance the scene much.
Got one more chance tomorrow!

The theme for week 32 is panorama. This is Peel Bay on a calm summer's evening a little after sunset.
False Colour IR shot taken at the graveyard at Chagford, on Dartmoor in Devon. This is looking through the hole in a cross.
for 7DoS: I love to walk along the beach in the winter : it's so peaceful and sets me up for a happy day :)
I have no idea what I am doing with my crystal ball by it has been fun experimenting. I wanted to do light painting however all the videos I watched said you needed finger lights unfortunately I only had Christmas lights, use what you got.
This reminded me of the movie Poltergeist

These things are so much fun to work with. I had visions of an outdoor shot of this red bridge and waterfall near my house, but the weather is not cooperating. That forced me inside, and I am happy it did, or I wouldn't have learned about light painting with a crystal ball.

HDR Panorama: originally 11 panels taken in portrait mode (left hand side has been cropped so now it is equivalent to about 9 shots wide) Each panel is three exposures (0, +2, -2 – middle shot 28mm, f13, 5 seconds, iso200). Stitched and tonemapped in Hugin.
Other than the boat (wind is the enemy), think the detail is ok in the larger sizes
August 6th. We took 3/4 kids sailing today from Mylor out down to the point and back. We came in a bit early due to that well known weather condition of close squabbling.
Bearing in mind the double themes I've combined two shots - one upside down (see comments) to create this painterly effect. Architecture and multiple exposure.
Getting it in early as we are off to an other festival via friends tomorrow so photo time will be at a bare minimum.
also using this as the weekly photo for the other groups
I must say that I do enjoy going for a nice long walk in the countryside ~ no cars, no hustle and bustle just Mother Nature and myself!!
