Love is - to feel the warm sunshine on your face, to feel the warm sunshine on your face while you take a ride down a country lane, to feel the warm sunshine on your face while you take a ride in an old wagon down a country lane. Or, just finding all this in one spot.

thanks for your comments
have a wonderful new week !!
I think these guys would work for Gluttony or Greed as those Laughing clowns always want more! It was the perfect week for the seven deadly sins as it's Ekka time in Brisbane. The Ekka is our yearly show where the country comes to town. There are animals, exhibits, food, side show alley with all the rides, fireworks and my kids favourite, the show bags. Sins everywhere and lots of fun : )
Getting a bit of practice in for all the night sky shooting we'll be doing in Utah in around 3 weeks time! also a bit of practice at processing. A little overdone here maybe, as the Milky Way in the Lake District isn't quite as distinct as it will be in Moab, but was good to practice the techniques all the same! Even caught a cheeky Perseids meteor in there too. Ironically it annoyed me (!) I think it's ruined my photo, but didn't have the heart to clone it out!
Photo taken of Lucky a Leopard Gecko with my new Canon EOS 7d, Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens and a 580ex II strobe. Zero PS besides a re-size.
for 7DoS: I consider myself a very lucky person. I love to visit new places and I have the opportunity to do so :)
This is a shot from my latest trip - celebrating our wedding anniversary, so I thought it appropriate for this week's theme <3
To me she looks like a pup here :)
She was posing so patiently, since yesterday i have taken about 100 shots of her in the heather. Still not happy with sharpness and still no idea what it is .
Love her expression here.
She loved the walk, lots of exciting smells of deer and other wildlife !!!

*I had to "neglect" getting adequate sleep to do my final observations! After fourteen hours and forty-two minutes, the last of my "indoor reared" Monarch caterpillars emerged from it's chrysalis! She will be kept overnight to strengthen before her release. She is actively crawling around in her net enclosure and exercising her wings by frequently opening and closing them. You may notice that the butterfly appears to have only four legs, while asking yourself, "Don't insects have six legs?" The answer is yes; however, the butterflies in the Nymphalidae Family use only four legs, the middle and rear ones, while keeping the two, small, vestigial forelegs tucked close to their bodies! *This shot also looks like the butterfly is "distorted," but the abdomen which is bent downward is still filled with blood that will be pumped into the wings. (Below in the comment section is a photo of how the pupa looked minutes before the Monarch emerged.)

Over and over and over! This challenged my patience as much as my photography skills but I wanted to capture some motion.

I love the ocean! I grew up very close to the Pacific ocean and spent many years living inland. When I came "home" for holidays with my family, time at the beach was high our priority list Now that we are retired, we have moved back to live on the coast. I have always loved to walk on the beach ... nowadays I take my camera too.
A Blue Faced Honeyeater dropped in for some lunch on our Golden Penda tree. I liked the way the branches framed his pretty blue face.

This is alternative option for week 32
I set the theme for Week 32 earlier this year to be "The Night Sky" to coincide with the annual Perseid meteor shower. Foolishly I forgot to check the moon phase for the period. Doh! This has now been compounded with cloud-cover. So this is what I've done with it at 3.30am with my phone.
On Monday we learned that our other dog, Kaley, was not developing arthritis as we thought but instead had advanced bone cancer in the head of her femur that had already spread to her lungs. This was an utter shock because she had shown no symptoms other than avoiding jumping and climbing. Since there were no valid options for surgery or chemo we brought her home with a fentanyl patch to relieve her rapidly increasing pain long enough to say some kind of goodbye. By Thursday it was time to let Kaley go.
We are all devastated. Gracie seems puzzled not to find Kaley in any of her usual spots around the house and yard. They had been together for all of Kaley's 12 years. We'll get through this but right now we are thrown for a loop and missing our sweet Kaley terribly.
The pier at Ayr harbour is looking somewhat untidy and in need of a good old clean up!!

I really love this!!! Hope you do too!
As instructed, I grabbed my camera this week and found a picture on the way home.
This is a shot from the Roma St railway station in the city and I was hanging out here on my way to and from the Ekka, which is our yearly show or fair.
These three don't look like they have been to the same place, as they aren't loaded up with sample bags.
I had a good walk in the countryside this morning and it was lovely walking along this tree lined road/pathway!
