Beaches Jazz Festival: Dr. Eugene Draw on violin, Ryan Janzen on hydraulophone, Jamie Thompson on flute, etc.....

Even though the water is now flowing, there is still a lot of work to be done to complete the landscape. I need to build a dry streambed up the hill and construct a footbridge over it near the top left of the photo.

Pictures from my summer trip to Forde Abbey, near Chard, Somerset, UK.

This is the Centenary Fountain, which is the tallest powered fountain in England.

The fountain was installed in 2005 to mark the centenary of the Roper family's guardianship of the Forde Abbey estate.

It's quite a site to behold and well worth the visit to the gardens alone!

I like the waterfeature in this shot as well as the impressive roof! Taken in Emmen, Drenthe.

Water Feature In Bangor

Building a waterfeature of this size was a tricky feat. We moved 1+ ton granite boulders into the backyard. We probably had about 16-18' of space to move boulders and the tractor to set the boulders. It was mandatory that we set the boulders first - then dig out the pond and the levels of this feature.

water pours from copper spout into sunken water pool

Since we cut down all the old shrubs on the side of the pool and replaced the fence we have been trying to come up with something over here other than just a store-bought fountain. After talking about it for a month we finally put this together today. Still needs some landscaping and all that, but the water is running!

We've added a couple of ferns to help disguise the artificial look of the waterfall.

Maria Pizzuti is from Rome and as an artist she has worked in many different media. One of her better known sculptures is a large panel-beaten bronze piece, entitled An Croi Briste, is in situ as a famine memorial on Lower Mallow Street (near Steamboat Quay) on the Shannon River in Limerick city. I do not know why, at the site, it is entitled “Broken Heart” rather than “An Croi Briste”. Maybe there is a plaque in Irish that I failed to notice.

In the past I have complained about the condition of this monument and the lack of water in what was supposed to be a water feature. Somebody has made some attempt to tidy it up but the addition of large flowerpots was not a good idea and in my opinion they should be removed soon rather than later. It would appear that adding baskets or pots of flowers is a default solution by the city council in Limerick.

Tyneham House, Caldy, Wirral

This is a pondless water feature I installed in my garden. The fountain, pump and underground basin are from Aquascape based out of St. Charles, Illinois.
