I didn't have my tripod with me or an ND filter, so I perched the camera on my bag and closed the aperture to f/25 for this 1 second exposure.

Drottningholm palace is one of the most beautiful buildings in Stockholm. Definitely one of my favourite.
few hrs. ago i took a new work colleague to show round Katara/ Doha, as we got to the waterfeature, 8 big robotic gadgets popped out of the water and started sprayin water in wonderful patterns, the light cannons in there too started firing different colour beams at the water changing its colour.
While colleague rushed firing selfies, i shot few like this but different patterns and colours.

If you get the light reflecting right the iris will look red, sometimes very red. I got one of those this fall but this image is more special to me so I will post it instead this time. Why is this one special? It was taken in my backyard along our water feature. He/she stayed around about 3 days. This past week including today has been good for warblers in my yard foraging in the trees above and making an occasional visit to the water feature. That is beauty berry you see in the upper left. Near that but out of this view is pokeweed with its dark purple berries. Above that is a dogwood tree with red berries. Tonight a cold wave is coming so the yard migrants probably will be pushing off. Perhaps a few more stragglers will show up this fall but our fall migration is soon coming to an end here in north Georgia. It is satisfying to know that you can add a water feature to your yard and some native plants and help some of the migrants along their journey. It is a small way to give back to some of those species.
Georgia. My backyard. Picked this bird up with my creekside motion activated Blink camera when I was out of town and was hoping it would still be present when I returned. Our backyard has plenty of ripe dogwood berries, pokeweed berries, and beauty berries so hoping for more berry loving migrants to find the yard. Also hoping the AmerIcan Rob1ns don't find them first and clean us out. LOL.

with Ying-Yang water feature, a movable fountain installed by the British sculptor Angela Conner. Moved solely by the power of water, the Ying Yang Fountain has a very calming and meditative effect on its observers. The aim is to invite the viewer to pause.

The so-called Sun King Louis XIV, the builder of the Palace of Versailles, was the great idol of the Bavarian King Ludwig II, who went down in history as the fairytale king. And so he had the new palace on the island of Herrenchiemsee in Lake Chiemsee built in the neo-baroque style between 1878 and 1886 based on the architectural model of the palace in Versailles. Unlike Versailles, however, the palace was never intended to serve as a seat of government or to house a court. It was only intended as a private residence for the king who lived in seclusion.
Ah, the catbirds... They visit for a few weeks during migration but they don't stick around to raise their families. They are sneaky little guys and stick to the fern bed and other flowerbeds very close to the house. This guy was caught bathing in a glass bath near the house, there are plenty of plants surrounding it and the firebush by the living room window covers it from above. The neat thing about the firebush is you can leave it and it will grow like a huge shrub or you can trim it into a small shrub or you can train it like a tree. The one near my living room window is like a tree.
The glass bath in this image is the only bath I have ever witnessed these guys use.
This image was taken from the living room window.
