Two juveniles - a house sparrow and a starling - coming for a drink at our water feature by the pond.

I didn't have my tripod with me or an ND filter, so I perched the camera on my bag and closed the aperture to f/25 for this 1 second exposure.

The house was built in a mostly Neo-Renaissance style, copying individual features of several French châteaux, between 1874 and 1889 for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild (1839–1898) as a weekend residence for entertaining and to house his collection of arts and antiquities.
few hrs. ago i took a new work colleague to show round Katara/ Doha, as we got to the waterfeature, 8 big robotic gadgets popped out of the water and started sprayin water in wonderful patterns, the light cannons in there too started firing different colour beams at the water changing its colour.
While colleague rushed firing selfies, i shot few like this but different patterns and colours.

If you get the light reflecting right the iris will look red, sometimes very red. I got one of those this fall but this image is more special to me so I will post it instead this time. Why is this one special? It was taken in my backyard along our water feature. He/she stayed around about 3 days. This past week including today has been good for warblers in my yard foraging in the trees above and making an occasional visit to the water feature. That is beauty berry you see in the upper left. Near that but out of this view is pokeweed with its dark purple berries. Above that is a dogwood tree with red berries. Tonight a cold wave is coming so the yard migrants probably will be pushing off. Perhaps a few more stragglers will show up this fall but our fall migration is soon coming to an end here in north Georgia. It is satisfying to know that you can add a water feature to your yard and some native plants and help some of the migrants along their journey. It is a small way to give back to some of those species.
Drottningholm palace is one of the most beautiful buildings in Stockholm. Definitely one of my favourite.

I love the intro and outro to this song. If you listen with headphones, you can hear ambient sounds of people at the beach or something. Anyway, I’m pairing it with this image that was taken at a water feature we have in town. It’s the closest we can get to the beach around here. ;)
(117/366) These gentleman were out for an early morning game of golf at the local pitch & putt course. I was out with my local walking group we meet up every Tuesday morning & cover about 3 miles in an hour. Also for the Weekly Colour Challenge theme "green grass"
