I came across this by accident... a cool refreshing slow decent waterfeature... nice rippling sound as the wter went across the bricks.

This is the view before we started the renovation. No plants were installed during the initial construction and the size of the rounded river rock made the water disappear under them as it travelled down the slope.
This waterfall needed some serious help.

This was much more attractive when I last photographed it a year ago.
One thing that I have noticed in Ireland is that water features are never properly maintained and eventually they become non-water features.
In 1999, artist Tina O’Connell was commissioned to re-create a fountain on the same site as where there had been a Victorian style tiered fountain which had fallen into disrepair. Thus Tina's contemporary sculpture is also a fully functioning fountain. After an extended period of research into the materials and of development 'In-Visible' was finally sited and fully installed in 2002.
‘In-Visible’ (2001) is a contemporary sculpture incorporating a water feature. Inspired by the connection between Waterford City and the world famous Waterford Glass industry, O'Connell's work consists of a very large transparent acrylic sphere (2 metres in diameter), over which clear running water continuously flows, and which is positioned on a large, circular platform made from black Kilkenny marble. The work has been referred to locally as the ‘Orb Fountain’.
There are lots of ways to add swimming pool fountains and water features to your Phoenix landscaping in the pool area. They can be formal, rustic or naturalistic working with the Phoenix landscape design staff at Desert Crest. This lovely waterfalls is an excellent addition to the relaxing environment of this Arizona backyard.

We still have to add a few plants and finishing touches for cosmetic reasons, but the work is pretty much done.

Here's another view of the "left side" of the waterfall bed. The violas/pansies have reseeded themselves (yay!), and the pasque flower is fading but leaving the interesting seed heads. The thyme is also beginning to bloom. I also planted some iris, chelone and lobelia in the stream.
