little cousins…
Trae, Ava, Aiden.
Last weekend, we had a “cousins party” at Michaels house… Aiden had a blast chasing his little cousins around, and I had a blast watching them! It reminds me of when I was little, and my best friends were my cousins. :-)
First ever tests of flash and diffusers. LOTS of stuff to learn.
Just bounce flash with huge diffuser behind the watch for the glass hilight, and a golden reflector behind my right shoulder. I need to learn this stuff, it's so interesting, but hard to grasp with flashlights - some pilot lights would help to understand the lighting setups better. Time for studio lights or construction halogens maybe.. we'll see. Or time to go to the studio with Marko.. :-)
My first vintage: The original iconic Reverso of 1931. Elegance and simplicity of the art deco philosophy is timeless.

There are 3 types of corners in maths, obtuse=over 90, right angle=90 and acute=under 90.
When on a walk, do not look just in front of you, look up.
Gulls love sitting on higher corners, must be a wonderful view!
Some nest up there.

We went back to Dauset Trails Nature Center last weekend for a change of scenery. Luckily, it was a beautiful, sunny, Springlike day and most welcome after all the rain we've been having lately.
To our great delight the deer that we've seen the last couple of visits finally came out into the open to graze instead of staying back in the shadows. So finally some photos of "new" animals this time around.
By now, some of you may know a trip to Dauset Trails means a lot of phots to come. Fair warning.
Just saying.
This was a tiny piece of a much larger image, but the position of the watch was too perfect. The larger image was ok, but I think that this crop is much more interesting
Watching 'Creating the Spectacle!' by Sue Austin, an installation for the 2012 Cultural Olympiad in the Clore Ballroom, Royal Festival Hall.
'Creating the Spectacle!' is a ground-breaking series of performances of an underwater wheelchair that leaves traces of its joy and freedom as it flies along through the water with its human occupant.
This surprising and unexpected juxtaposition is proving to be a powerful vehicle for transforming preconceptions about the wheelchair in the mind of the viewer as they then become part of the artwork too.
Conceived by Artistic Director Sue Austin and produced through Freewheeling, 'Creating the Spectacle!' aims to generate a widespread public debate about the nature and value of contemporary arts practice shaped by the experience of disability.

the kid in front at the Passeig de Juan Borbó. Stop by there in the early evening when you come from the Barceloneta beaches. A good band is playing there every day.
