As the snow falls outside I thought I would post a pic from this past September as I watched my Indians lose(again) 7-0.... but it was 70 and Sunny! It was also my first full day with my new camera.

"Bird Watching" is an original soft pastel painting. Size 5 by 7. Thank you again to Nancy Rose for allowing me to use your beautiful photograph as a reference for this painting!

This is an adult burrowing owl keeping watch over its family. It was wonderful to keep track of this family. I think there was 8 babies this year from this couple.

Rashida watched as we played.

Olongapo, Philippines

2010/07/23

She's watching us as we are looking up at her. She was about 30 yards off the road, saw her immediately as we were driving by. Majority of the people who drove by at least slowed down to observe what we were doing. Southern DeKalb County, IL. 2-08-09.

I don't know if this was left there by someone, or the lifeguards brought it for the kids to play with, but she loved playing with this little plastic turtle. Mostly she carried it around and poured water out of it, over and over again, but she also liked to watch it bob on the ripples. Except when it got too far away. Then she wasn't happy.

Se va muy muyyyyyyy lejos y espero que le guste a su nueva dueña tanto como a mí.

Truer words haven't been scrawled across a bar wall.

It was a cold, blustery and wet day for an outdoor wedding.

This flower girl was holding up quite well, considering the cold and the waiting, enough to try any of us there. She was patiently holding on to her grandmother's hand, taking it all in with the curiosity and wonder of a three year old.

I was taking pre-wedding photos of the wedding party and guests as we waited for the groom to come back from a last-minute trip to pick up some critical, but forgotten items. I took this one, originally of the full grouping of her with her grandmother.

When I zoomed in to check some part of the frame, I was struck by the beauty in her face. The quiet watching and waiting, a sense of being content for the moment, and curiosity at what would happen next.

I cropped it this way, and love the result.

I'm constantly amazed at what goes on in front of my lens, that I do not see until later.

I imagine much of life is full of hidden beauty that we did not notice in the moment. That's one more reason for me to slow down and savor each moment as it uniquely and wonderfully passes my way.

A pencil sketch using two references, one of the watch and another of the girl. There is some watercolour pencil combined into the picture, in the eyes, lips and watch face. A quick picture taking roughly 1-2hours. Size A4. I adore portraits and therefore think portraits are 'a thing i like'

I snapped this for a friends uni project and fell in love with it!

Players enter a massive and dynamic open world environment set in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is the latest city to adopt ctOS 2.0, an advanced operating system networking the city infrastructure, and in the wrong hands, ctOS 2.0 can be used to invasively control and manipulate everyday citizens.

A typical Cuban family watches all the action from the front of their house. They found my description of the horsemen as "poco loco" quite amusing.
