Took a walk in the woods with my crystal ball. Trying some different compositions. I've noticed the crystal ball compositions I like most have some decent foreground in them.
A single, wandering beetle--one with the unromantic title of 'stinkbug'--decided to tackle the asparagus fern. I wondered why he took the effort to clamber so diligently to the very top of the wiry branch--with its bottle-brush bristles--when no drops of after could be seen. When at last he gained the top, a single shaft of sun spilled out over the backyard fence and he enjoyed a few moments of warmth before beginning the long climb down. Alas, my battery died on his way up, but I soaked in the scene in my mind.
Walk in the Green Valley.
The Green Valley is an oasis of peace in the triangle between Brussels, Leuven and Mechelen.
While framing and focusing on a tree with backlit leaves, the out of focus image better represented the feel of the scene, than the in focus view.

Geese in a vacant lot next to the Super Walmart in Lafayette, Colorado. I notice they don't walk in V-formation!
Extreme lower end of the walking/skiing trail in Big Hill Park. This is where you begin a long, long slog of an uphill climb. After this the trail gets really wild.

SEP. 2012. This pathway is at the very summit of Rogers Pass, about 150 - 300 yards west the Trans- Canada hiway, It is an interpretive path, just over a kilometer long, and is very historic. It is the original rail bed of the CPR railline built and opened in 1886 at the pass summit. It was abandoned in 1916 with the opening of the Connaught Tunnel running under this avalanch prone area.
Clumber Park through the woods to Welbeck Abbey ( Truemans Lodge to South Lodge) A quiet and attractive walk where you don't see many people and pass many interesting features such as abandoned gate house lodges and former entrances to welbeck abbey before you reach the entrances too the famous tunnels.
