believe it or not, i think this is one of my favourites from my recent nikko trip. at least i think it works best as a desktop wallpaper. there's just something soothing about the soft colours and the out-of-focus forest. but that's me. for the whole story about nikko and the stupidly cold weather that stupidly early morning check out everyone else's favourite here.

Here's a look into Kermit's head. You can see the circles for his eyeballs. The white hoses you see carry air from the fans into various parts of the balloon. It's air that gives shape to the balloon. When we walk in the parade, two of the balloon handlers will be wearing belts with fan units attached to keep air blowing into the balloon.

We were on the hunt for a rare plant, as always, so here we were, somewhere in Mid Kent, in pouring rain, looking for wood vetch (none found), but then a walk in the woods is never wasted.

I did slip over at the end, walking round the edge of a muddy track, my foot slipped and over I went.

Into the mud. And got soaked.

Bah!

Nice walk in the woods at Marbury today. The smell of wild garlic was quite overpowering! Hazel took this one.

Out and about trying out my new lens , a Sony FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS on the Sony a7Riv .

Up till now , I'm very happy with the results , but getting the camera AF settings and so on set up right for the best results is a bit of a learning curve .
