Yesterday I saw the documentary movie "The Salt of the Earth" which is made by Wim Wenders and is a portrait of the Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado. I had never heard about him before, and what a shame. His is one of the best photojournalist I have see. And he seams to be a nice and friendly person as well. I wont tell you to much about the film. But I encourage you to go see it, it's one of the best documentaries I've seen in a long time.
And it has this positive effect on you - or at least it had on me and my girlfriend - that you wanna go out and do something good for the world and other people in need.

believe it or not, i think this is one of my favourites from my recent nikko trip. at least i think it works best as a desktop wallpaper. there's just something soothing about the soft colours and the out-of-focus forest. but that's me. for the whole story about nikko and the stupidly cold weather that stupidly early morning check out everyone else's favourite here.

Nice walk in the woods at Marbury today. The smell of wild garlic was quite overpowering! Hazel took this one.
Out and about trying out my new lens , a Sony FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS on the Sony a7Riv .
Up till now , I'm very happy with the results , but getting the camera AF settings and so on set up right for the best results is a bit of a learning curve .
Took a walk in the woods with my crystal ball. Trying some different compositions. I've noticed the crystal ball compositions I like most have some decent foreground in them.
A single, wandering beetle--one with the unromantic title of 'stinkbug'--decided to tackle the asparagus fern. I wondered why he took the effort to clamber so diligently to the very top of the wiry branch--with its bottle-brush bristles--when no drops of after could be seen. When at last he gained the top, a single shaft of sun spilled out over the backyard fence and he enjoyed a few moments of warmth before beginning the long climb down. Alas, my battery died on his way up, but I soaked in the scene in my mind.
