Pages done for Decorated Page Workshop, Lesson 4 Cutouts and Addons plus Patterns and Motifs, also Lesson 3 stamped background.
My big Roman numeral ten is both a cutout and an add on. I got to use my new embossing gun here. The silver was done with a rubber stamp that I made by just cutting an eraser with a serrated knife.
The X's/Roman numeral 10 serve as both motif and pattern. The hand carved stamp that I stamped with my new Versamark inkpad is also patterning. I love the Versamark! I'm going to get a lot of use out of that one.
Die Ausstellung präsentiert Poster von etablierten DesignerInnen aus aller Welt, die Poster mit dem Wort "Toleranz" in ihrer jeweiligen Sprache gestaltet haben.
Die Wanderausstellung “Tolerance Posters” war bereits in Slowenien, Montenegro, Bosnien-Herzegowina, Serbien, Spanien, Washington, in den Niederlanden und in Kalifornien zu sehen. Die Anzahl der Exponate wächst ständig um eine Arbeit eines weiteren Designers aus dem Land, in dem die Ausstellung gezeigt wird. In Graz wird die Sammlung um eine Arbeit von Grafiker Herms Fritz erweitert.

Kurator der Ausstellung ist Mirko Ilić, Fakultätsmitglied der School of Visual Arts (SVA) New York.
Mirko Ilić veröffentlichte seine ersten Arbeiten 1977 in etablierten Comic-Zeitschriften außerhalb Jugoslawiens wie Alter Alter, Métal Hurlant, Heavy Metal und Marvels Epic Illustrated. Ab 1980 legte er den Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeit auf die Bereiche Illustration und Grafikdesign. 1986 verließ Ilić seine Heimat und ging nach New York, wo bald erste Arbeiten in Medien wie dem Time Magazine, der New York Times oder dem Wall Street Journal erschienen. 1991 wurde er Art Director von Time International und im folgenden Jahr Art Director der OP-Ends in der New York Times.
1995 gründete er Mirko Ilić Corp., ein Studio für Grafikdesign, 3D-Computergrafik und Filmtitel. Gemeinsam mit Milton Glaser und Walter Bernard entstand die Titelsequenz für die romantische Komödie “Email für Dich”. Es folgten Projekte für Luxushotels und -restaurants wie The Time Hotel in New York oder das Casa Moderna Hotel in Miami. 2015 wurden 38 seiner Arbeiten in die permanente Sammlung des Museums für Moderne Kunst (MoMA) aufgenommen, vier davon waren in der Ausstellung “Making Music Modern” zu sehen.
Seit 1999 ist Mirko Ilić Professor für Bildende Kunst an der School of Visual Arts in New York.

The need to facilitate orientation and communication through visual organization principles, was the starting point for the design of the uniforms of official personnel during the Olympic Games.
A contest judge had to look different from a ticket controller, a health worker from a technician. All told 88 groups of persons needed special uniforms. To make this multitude clearly understandable the personnel was categorized in superordinate groups under the aspect of related functions:
Personnel of the Organizing Committee
Contest judges
Technical services
Hostesses
Doctors and health personnel
Security guards
Sport site personnel
Cleaning personnel

Os presentamos un nuevo proyecto de identidad visual que hemos diseñado para un concurso. El Real Racing Club de Santander ha organizado un concurso para la creación del logotipo e identidad visual del centenario del club. Esta es nuestra propuesta diseñada en colaboración con nuestro amigo y racinguista Borja Fernández , la cual no ha sido seleccionada como ganadora, pero de la que estamos satisfechos.
La identidad abarca diversos elementos como papelería comercial, camisetas, merchandising, señalización…

About one hundred invited guests and media attended the official opening of the Visual Voltage exhibition at Miraikan in Tokyo in the evening of October 20. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Mamoru Mohri, Chief Executive Director of The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan), and Mr. Stefan Noreén, Ambassador of Sweden in Tokyo. Interactive Institute’s Magnus Jonsson and Sara Backlund gave a talk entitled ”Swedish Frontiers – design trends and innovation” at Mirakan in connection to the inauguration.
